Muffins Smile Aug 27, 2013

Been hearing my friend talk about this place and finally had a chance to pass by this shop along telok ayer shophouse. I opted for a full box of 6 to bring home and let my family try, I chose apple blueberry crumble, spiced carrot, green eggs & ham, double chocolate, orange chocolate and banana chocolate. You should really check out the menu that they have where pictorially they tell you what makes up the muffin – they call that muffin-ology. Among these 6 flavours, I still like double chocolate the most follow by the banana chocolate. The rest was ok but did not excite me much. At $2.80 per muffin and complete with a nice packaging, it was a muffin craving fulfilled day for me. They also serve pies and sandwiches, perhaps I will consider coming back to visit them 1 day for lunch and coffee.

Double fish soup OK Aug 26, 2013

Rainy days are your best friend especially when it comes to visiting those popular hawker centre stalls coz there will be less of a crowd then. I pop by this place on such a day and got my order taken right away, cheers to no queue!
I chose the double fish soup for $4 and plain rice for 50cents. Condiments given were the usual small chili padi and soy sauce. Ingredients include sliced fish, fried fish, tomato, chy sim, cabbage and fried shallots. Notice there is no toufu and ginger which I like. The soup is super sweet yet do not overly milky. I
think its very much enhanced by chopped anchovies which can be seen on the bowl base after you finish all the soup. I have to give it thumbs up not just to the soup taste but also to the thickness of the white fish given. It’s probably the thickest slice I’ve had for hawker standard.
By the way I think their prices will be increasing to $4 minimum from September onwards.

Lunch @ ISLE OK Aug 26, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Rice

I didn't noticed this ISLE stall there before. There's other ISLE cafes at Far east plaza and Tanglin shopping center nearby too.My friend brought me there and had lunch at reasonable price. I ate pork curry with potato and tofu with rice, costs only $2.80. Added orange juice at $0.70. The curry is a bit spicy but quite tasty. Even there's a lot of people queuing and having there, we got seats.

Spicy Roasta Drumlets Smile Aug 23, 2013

The first time I tried KFC roasted drumlets.
I think Spicy Roasta Drumlets is new KFC snack set, costs $3.9.
Love roasted one more than their crispy chicken before.
The drumlets are juicy and tender, 3 drumlets in set, marinated in spicy pepper.
Came with pepsi and french fries as usual set. I added classic KFC egg tard at $1.
It's my favorite one at there too.
Two thumbs up for this meal. I gonna try this next time again.

Chicken Curry Smile Aug 23, 2013
Categories : Food Court

I think this stall was newly opened or moved at this side just last month. Seemed their chicken curry quite interesting. Available with rice ($5) or three roti parata ($4.50). But when I asked for prata, there's no more left. I bought the curry with rice, no need to add 20 cents for packet.

The curry is quite delicious as I expected. With average amount of coconut milk only and I added mushroom, onion too. Chicken is tender and well cooked with curry paste. Overall I am satisfied and I may come back to try other food.
