The curry puff's are so tasty and big, worthwhile for tea-time. The aromatic and delectably moist curried potato filling boasts the perfect balance of spices, and is studded with a generous chunk of chicken and wedge of hard boiled egg. Best eaten fresh and piping hot from the stall, Old Chang Kee curry puffs somehow manages to remain tasty and crispy even when eaten cold.

This place serves buffet and ala cart. Very tasty the Lotus paste bun and rojak from the buffet. The steamboat we put the tom yam stock and boil it, slowly adding the green fresh vegetables, corn, and fungus mushroom. They also have yellow mee noodles and dumplings, tofu, tapioca. Its very worth the price. Highly Recommended, all their foods do not contain onion or garlic.

For buffet, They have seafood fried rice, spicy clams, sambal stingray, fried breaded fish, chicken and tasty spicy crabs for the cooked section. Love the crabs the most, extremely delicious! The fried breaded fish was nice too.. it has this crispy taste. They have two types of soup. Some ginseng chicken and another, corn soup. I think both tasted equally nice. They only have two types of ice cream with fruits. Service was good.

The buffet here has too much variety, all the local delights. got popiah. Satay, chicken wings, chicken rice, gado-gado. The desserts are the local flavours ice-cream like yam, sweetcorn, durian. They serve alot of variety of seafood also, Jumbo prawns in barbeque style, fish in chilli gravy, kway teow. The staff are kind and helpful. Location is excellent.

buffet dinner Smile Jan 08, 2013

Sat between the interior of the restaurant and the lounge opposite. Ambience wise was good as live music from lounge accompanied the dinner, to create the mood.

First we started eating the cold seafood section. The salmon sashimi and the cold poached prawns was very delicious. There were oysters also, but i did not try.

At the Japanese section. There was sushi & maki and soba noodles. The only comment I have is, you can avoid this section and save your stomach space for other food. The salad section beside it was better. Tried many kinds of salads and the mushroom salad was the best, even though I love mushrooms. The other salads were ok, not too bad. The 2 kinds of hams were tasty.

Onto the hot food, there was roasted beef and chicken, baked whole salmon in tomato sauce, vegetable fritter, fried pappadum & belinjo crackers, vegetable curry, green vegetable, tofu, lamb chop and a potato cheese gratin. The live station that night was mee siam. Dishes that i ate second serving were the lamb chop and the potato cheese gratin. The roast chicken was skinless, leaving only all the dry breast meat on the tray.

Desserts wise, it consisted of durian pengat, ice cream, chocolate fountain and fresh fruits. There were 2 flavours for the egg tarts, original & kaya. You can’t really taste the difference between the two but still quite nice. Durian pengat and a chocolate cake was also nice. The chocolate was creamy and nice as usual but just 2 rounds would be enough if you do not want to end up vomiting.

The buffet includes soft drinks Pepsi, MUG root beer and Mirinda grape.

Recommended Dish(es):  egg tart
