Not much of a writer but I must say my friend and I were very satisfied with our food and with the service. I ordered a lamb shank and she a sloppy burger. They checked on us from time to time as to how the food is, and engaged in small talk when we were queuing as well as during the meal.

Really loved their home-baked bread (they have their own bakery somewhere...) and they also do their own burger buns and hotdog buns! The sauce for the lamb shank was fastastic and I could just keep eating that with their bread and be happy already. Lamb was not too fat and it was tender :-) Real pleasure to eat.
Loved the bread and sauce! Lamb shank did not taste the frozen sort!!

On weekend evenings, the queue here is really long. So be sure to come early before you get too hungry waiting.

My parents and I come here very often so each time we try to be adventurous.

My recent visit, we ordered the sushi set that came with an assortment (2 each) of raw and cooked sushi (there was fatty salmon, tuna, unagi, scallop etc etc.) and I thought the size of each would be small but I was so wrong. The set was so large, 3 of us had trouble sharing it a long with one of the special sets that came with black pepper cod fish, and the sashimi salad, which by the way came with very generous portions of sashimi and is enough to make me come back to this branch just to have it again and again! Sauce that came with the salad was slightly tangy due to vinegar, but delightful. As well as some plates of sushi off the conveyor belt, all very tasty.

I would come back here again but not for their cooked food sets.

I read several other (positive) reviews of their mussels and got had my expectations a little high so when I tasted it for myself tonight (was there between 5-7pm for the mussel madness promo of $30 for 2 starter pots), I got a little disappointed because:
1) I expected them to be meatier i.e. the flesh was so small. Then again, I don't eat mussels often! So if you're like me, expecting the tougher chewier kind of mussels.. they're not those.
2) I found the broth/sauce rather "watered down"..? Yes I could taste white wine in Mariniere and the tomato in the meridionale, but the texture of the broth.. I would have preferred it to be slightly thickened.

Other than the above, I'd say the service was good. The crew really try to attend to your needs fast and with a smile. I loved their fries - thick, fat and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. It came with complimentary mayonnaise. Would have gotten a refill (it's free flow) if not for the fact that the initial portion given was quite substantial already.

Juice wasn't too bad but I thought it was pricey ($7.50) for a lime juice.

I think their other mains would have fared slightly better? But I didn't try them so don't take my word for it.

Nice location where you can look out to sea, and enjoy nice breeze.

I read the previous 3 reviews, and was very keen to try this "gem" in the west, moreover at a place I visit often.

Sadly, the service was what I would describe as very "disconnected". Sure they were kind of polite but not keen to deliver more than required when  asked if sauce received was correct (ordered mushroom sauce), the reply was "both sauce also got black pepper"... so be warned.

Food was ok. But I saw a young man cooking and questioned "where's Chef Emil".. true enough, that's not him and from my raised brows... immediately got the response " aiya, its the same".

No it's not the same.

Only tried the rib eye which came more cooked than asked for.

And the chicken chop - bland meat. Marinate was so-so. Tasted a bit tandoorish.... Uhh.

Wish I had more good things to say about them but it was my first and also last patronage.
