Chew chew OK May 19, 2013

Categories : Taiwanese | Chinese Desserts | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Chewy and sweet is this dish that goes extremely well with the small container of condensed or evaporated milk served at the side. This taiwanese dessert is a sweet treat and i love the red beans found inside. The different balls such as the sweet potato balls, yam balls, bubble tea balls all add a chewy consistency to the dessert. I found the dessert a little too starchy after a while but it wwas ok.

Carrot cake Smile May 19, 2013

Carrot cake is a really delicious and fragrant singaporean dish that most if not all hawker centres would have at one of their stalls. This carrot cake at Chomp Chomp is really not too bad and it is definitely fragrant and can be smelled in the air when one is miles away. Love the amount of fried egg that the cook used and the chilli is soooooo good! The black version is not too bad too!

soup in a bowl Smile May 19, 2013

This bread bowl is different from the normal sourdough bread bowl that we commonly see or are being served when we order western soup. This bread bowl has a crispier bite and the soup that i tried was the pumkin soup. The soup was thick and creamy and it was definitely GOOD!After drinking the soup, cut up the soup infused toasted bread bowl and lick your way to the end!

This fusion of a classic singaporean dish and a western shepards pie is a fun and definitely unique eat that one needs to try. It is not very often we come across a laksia shepards pie and boy it was really good! The ingredients inside the pie includes prawns and mussels and fish. Love the softness of the potato mixed with the laksa sauce that creates a whole different taste in your mouth.

Blueberry tart Smile May 19, 2013

Coffeee bean is a great place to hang out and chill. this place does not only provide coffee and tea but also a range of food such as tarts and sandwiches. This fine looking blueberry tart is really delicious and fresh! Love the custard cream and the fresh blueberries at the top of the tart. Not forgetting the finely roasted pistachio nuts on top that adds a crunch to the tart.
