Ton Toro Ramen! OK Apr 16, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Ramen

I always come here for the Ton Toro Ramen, which is ramen with strips of pork. The amount of pork given is quite a lot and I always end up giving some to my hubby (no complaints from him there). I find the ramen at Ajisen always having a very 'springy' texture and it's quite enjoyable to eat. Their Gyoza is not bad but not mind-blowing. This goes for the rest of the sides as well such as the sushi.

Fusion jap-Italian food! OK Apr 16, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant

Generally, I'm not a fan of fusion food, so when my friend wanted to have this for lunch I reluctantly agreed. I have to admit that their wide variety of pastas surprised me, and I decided to settle on the safe tomato based spaghetti with seafood. The dish was not bad, with fresh tasting seafood and al dente pasta. Since I just had that, I can only rank the food as okay. Shall see whether I can revise it if and when I return!

Tried the roast chicken here, it came with a choice of sides so I picked mashed potatoes and cheesy cauliflower. I enjoyed the chicken as it was moist and tender, and the potatoes were good. However, the cheesy cauliflower was a little bland. I'm not the top fan of cauliflower in the first place but it was either that or a side of peas. It would have been better if there was more variety in terms of sides. But the price was good and affordable.

Decent Crab meat pasta  OK Apr 16, 2013
Categories : Café

Although I was tempted by their all day breakfast menu available, I decided to try their crab meat pasta! The crab meat shreds in the dish was quite generous but not overwhelmingly so while the sauce had some kick due to the cut chili in it. Not bad, and decently priced I suppose. I had a slice of carrot cake for dessert and was surprised at how moist it was.

Variety for your diet OK Apr 16, 2013

Categories : Salads/ Acai Bowl

Heard from a friend that the rosti here is good and I was not disappointed. The potatoes were well cooked and thinly-cut. There were so many different types of salads here! I chose the salmon Caesar salad and this mushroom side dish to complete my rosti meal. The salmon strips were plentiful however I was not a fan of the mushrooms as I found the sesame flavour too strong.
