It’s great that a free flow of nachos and salsa are given here, especially when hungrily awaiting the your orders! But mind you, don’t eat too much lest you’ll not be able to finish your mains which are rather plentiful. I love the beef fajitas here which come sizzling on the hot plate and the quesadillas are full of cheesy goodness! Tip: Dine outside instead of indoors to enjoy the buzzling atmosphere of Holland Village at night!

I love Mexican Cuisine and Margarita’s is one of my favourite restaurants to satisfy my cravings! If you want the works, try their Kitchen Sink Burrito! Its odd name is due to the fact that this burrito is loaded with everything but the kitchen sink! Mince beef, chicken, salsa, jalapenos, rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole…it looks rather messy but it’s absolutely delicious! If you’re ordering that, you can more or less forgo dessert unless you have a huge appetite.

Casual Italian dining  Smile Apr 29, 2013

Here’s a classic Italian family restaurant that’s been around for years! This is a casual dining restaurant, so don’t expect candles and romance, just good and hearty Italian pizzas and pastas. I tried the Pizza Con Carne and found it light with its thin crust even though it was a rather meaty pizza with the ham, minced beef, salami and sausage. Thumbs up! The Spaghetti Cartoccio was nice though I found the portion smaller than expected for a dish for two.

I have to commend on Delifrance’s Baguettes; the crust is crispy yet not too hard, while the insides remain soft. This standard has remained consistent through the years and I’m glad for it! Their pastries using puff pastry are my favourite especially the ones baked with cheese and if you want something light yet filling for a meal, try their stuffed Croissants like the Chicken ham and cheese Croissant, Tuna Mayo or Egg Mayo ones!

Comforting breads and soups Smile Apr 29, 2013

It’s bread, salads and soups galore! I always feel so healthy whenever I dine here. They have a good variety of breads here which are baked fresh daily. The soups are very tasty and you can take whatever bread you wish from the bread box, in which they have at least 3 different kinds. Though it is a casual diner, the atmosphere of the place is cosy and intimate. A good spot for an afternoon respite from work.
