Beef meatball Pasta Cry Dec 25, 2013
Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

While I was shopping at Lot 1 and craving for some pasta, I decided to go PastaMania instead of Pizzahut, as I always dine at Pizzahut.

Pastamania was not as crowded as Pizzahut during dinner time. I ordered the beef meatball pasta at the counter and wait for the order to be served on the table. The price was similar to Pizzahut.

The beef meatball pasta was piping hot and looked freshly cooked, unlike Pizzahut their pasta was microwaved. The pasta was springy though a little harder for my liking. The minced beef meatball was grilled and was slightly dry. The tomato sauce on the pasta tasted quite sourish to my liking.

Overall, I still prefered my pasta at pizzahut.

Lamb Burger Cry Dec 25, 2013

Categories : Burgers and Sandwiches

I heard that Bongo Burgers outside Jurong Bird park sells Lamb Burger, which other burger joints in Singapore seldom sells.

I went to Bongo Burgers after work, since it was not far from my workplace. The fastfood restaurant was quite empty at this time. I ordered the Lamb Burger at $12.

The Lamb Burger was made when ordered, so I was given a table tag and went to find a seat to wait for my order. The wait was about 10-15 minutes.

The Lamb Burger serving was quite big. There were many freshly fried hot wedges, though the taste was same like those from supermarket frozen ones. The lamb burger had a big minced lamb meat patty. But to my disappointment, the lamb patty was not as juicy as expected, it was slightly dry and tasted heaty.

Overall, the lamb burger was not as good as expected. The price of meal was also high for a fastfood restaurant.

Turkey Ham Pizza Cry Dec 22, 2013
Categories : Italian | Pasta

During drizzling weather, I was lazy to go out to buy dinner for my family. Hence I decided to order Pizza from Canadian Pizza. They sold pizza in twos, hence I ordered two of the Turkey Ham Pizza at $37.90.

The pizza was delivered in about 30-40 minutes time after ordering. The pizza was still piping hot and had a very nice aroma of cheese. The pizza crust was quite thin and crispy, the dough in between the crust was quite little. The fillings on top of the pizza taste average and dry. The cheese smell good but the turkey ham was quite little.

Overall, I would still prefer Pizzas from Pizzahut where their fillings was more generous.

Sands Bun Cry Dec 22, 2013

Categories : Bakery

Nowadays, there are many bakery stalls starting to sell Golden Sands Bun. I walked pass this Bakery Point at Bukit Batok MRT and they were having promotion for this new bun launch. The promotional price was $1.20.

The Sands Bun was steaming hot when I bought, I think it was just out of the oven. The Sands Bun had a mild buttery aroma. The texture of the bun was like those Breadtalk or Four Leaves, stiffer and less fluffy than Bakers Talent.

I was disappointed that the Golden Sands filling was very little. I could not taste the salted egg yolk, only salty custard.

Overall, I still prefer the price and taste of Golden Sands Bun from Bakers Talent.

Sugar Cheese Pancake Cry Dec 18, 2013
Categories : Food Court

This Kopitiam at Clementi is opened after a few months of renovation. I always wanted to try Ah Long new style of Pancake but never got a chance until now.

I had ordered a Sugar Cheese Pancake at $1.70 each. The pancake was freshly made when ordered, so will have to wait for at least 5 minutes to be ready.

The Pancake came in piping hot, outer skin was still moist and soft, not crispy. There was a mild butter aroma from the Pancake. The taste of pancake was a bit disappointing. There was more of the taste of egg than the taste or aroma of cheese.

Overall, I would still prefer traditional flavour pancake from the hawker centre.
