While I was window shopping with my friends in Suntec City Mall, I was craving for some light snacks. I walked pass this big J.Co Donuts & Coffee outlet and I thought they had already closed all their outlets in Singapore. Hence, we decided to have some drinks and snacks. The decor of the outlet was cosy and there were sofas to rest our tired feets.

I had ordered a cup of hot coffee at $3.50, and to my surprise the coffee came with a Glazzy Donut free. 

There was a sugary layer around the Glazzy Donut. The texture was soft and fluffy like a cotton. The first bite was like eating a cotton candy, so light and fluffy though not as sweet as Krispy Kreme's donuts.

Overall, I felt that this J.Co Glazzy Donut was really good tasting. 

I was intending to eat chicken rice at this Tanglin Halt Food Centre, but it was closed for today. Hence, I went to another chicken rice stall. Although their signboard put Hainanese Chicken Rice, their stall display was mostly roast duck, char siew and roast meat. I did not see any cooked chicken on display.

The queue was short during Lunch time. Hence, I ordered Roast Duck & Char Siew Rice at $4.

The Roast Duck & Char Siew Rice was surprisingly good. The roast duck meat had a slight crispy char skin and juicy, tender meat with a little bit of fats under skin.  The Char Siew was also good, with sweet malty outer layer and tender lean meat, though I prefer the Char Siew to be more fatty.

I also noticed that they used fragrant thai rice, not the usual plain white rice used by most other roast meat stalls.

After I had my Lunch at Tanglin Halt Food Centre, I went to find search for some dessert to eat. I saw that there was a steady queue at this Shun Xin Cheng Teng Dessert stall.

Since, most of the customers in the queue had ordered the Cheng Teng, I also followed the same ordering cold Cheng Teng. The price of Cheng Teng was surprising cheap at $1 per bowl.

The cold Cheng Teng tasted flavourful, refreshing and thirst quenching. Other than the normal white fungus, sago, barley and dried logans, there was also dry persimmon in this Cheng Teng soup, a traditional ingredient seldom found nowadays. 

I had saw Straits Times reviewing about this Wanton Mee stall. When I was in Buona Vista, I went to have a try.

During Lunch hour, there was not much queue, I ordered their signature $3 Dry Wanton Mee. From the appearance, the wanton mee had generous roasted char siew and a bowl of wantons.

The Wanton Mee's noodles tasted very good, it was springy and smooth to eat, I could taste the lard oil. The gravy for the dry version was good with sweetness of char siew sauce. 

Their roasted char siew was very good, with good amount of malt and sweetness on the outer layer. The meat was tender and not fatty.

The wantons were a bit small but nevertheless it was good. The skin tasted a bit slimy and the meat was marinated with crushed dried fried fish. 

Overall, this Wanton Mee tasted very good with acceptable portion at this pricing.

After Ilao Ilao, KFC also branch into Froyo dessert.

Currently, only a selected KFC branches offer this Froyo dessert. Only 2 flavours are available, orginal and passion fruit. 

I had ordered the Passion Fruit Froyo. The cost of $1.50 was as cheap as fastfood soft serve. The serving was big for cup sized.

The taste of the Froyo was good. The texture was something in between soft serve milk ice cream and sherbet, creamy with some fine blend ice. The froyo was not sweet, instead here was this mild sourish taste of yougurt. The passion fruit flavour was mild.
