Baked Curry Zazzle Smile Sep 12, 2013

Pizzahut has this promotion of $8.90 set meals which include a unlimited fizzy drink, a side and a main during lunch. The promotion set is called Smart Choice.

Today lunch, I manage to when to Lot 1 Branch to have a try. The branch was crowded at this time, everyone was ordering smart choice.

I ordered Baked Curry Zazzle, which was a curry rice with cheese.

Although I need to wait about 15 minutes for the baked rice to be cooked, it was a worthwhile wait.

The curry was super spicy with heavy Indian curry fragrant. There were tender chicken pieces and soft potatoes in the curry. The cheese in the curry goes well with the rice.

Grilled chicken rice OK Sep 11, 2013

This Indonesian Stall is one of the hot favourites during lunch and dinner time at Jurong Point.

During lunch and dinner, there will be long queues, waiting time can be up to 30mins because every order was made fresh, the chef need to grill the chicken or fish.

The stall aunty was quite stingy with their famous sambal chilli sauce. You need to tell her add many many, else you will be given only a teaspoon of sambal chilli sauce. Their chilli has onions and ikan bilis, tasted of sweetness and spicy.

The chicken was grilled and then dipped into special black sauce. The black sauce coated on chicken skin was very sweet and savoury. The grilled chicken meat was tender, though sometimes it can be dry.

Lamb & Pork Chop Smile Sep 11, 2013

Nowadays, it was not easy to find a Western Food Stall in either hawker centre or Kopitiam selling Pork Chop.

I saw this Lava Rock stall in Clementi Central selling Pork Chop.

I ordered a takeaway as I am eating alone. I had ordered Combo, Lamb and Pork chop with 2 sides, corn and spagetti.

The Lamb Chop was surprising very tender and soft to bite, no chewy rubber like other hawker centre ones.

The Pork Chop was fantastic, meat was tender, soft and thick. No tongue feel of any tenderiser.

Char Siew Wanton Mee Smile Sep 11, 2013

I had patronise this Funan Weng Ipoh Horfun since they were at top floor of Funan Centre.

I had ordered Charsiew Wanton Mee set with Crispy Thai Tofu. The set cost about $8.

Their char siew was roasted perfectly, with hint of sweetness, meat was fatty and tender.

The wanton was meaty and has chunks of chestnut.

The noodles were springy and go well with their herbal sauce.

I would be return to eat their beef brisket noodles again.

Chicken Chop Smile Sep 11, 2013

I have eaten this western food stall since when they were located at Queenstown. They then moved to Newton Food Centre and now to Maxwell Food Centre.

Their opening hours are quite short, during lunch time and dinner time and closed on Sunday.

I happened to dropby during evening time and ordered Chicken Chop.

The prices are still quite reasonable at about $6+.

Their chicken chop still as yummy as before. Their sauce still as savoury, perfect for the meat and dipping sauce for the French Fries.

I would be coming back for more, next time try their Sirlon Steak.
