Ice Kachang

Ice Kachang

Koufu has a dessert stall at the side, so I went to order Ice Kachang after our lunch.

Koufu sold Tasty ice kachang with the red beans inside, which is the cheapest price in Singapore food court. The waitress served top quality ice products, which hardly being melted after 15 minutes, while we were eating our Curry Chicken rice.

However, it did not have peanut inside it.

Conclusion: Remember to leave some room for a sweet ice kachang dessert when you visit Kallang Leisure Park because it is the best Ice Kachang Hawkers due to I like it sweet with lots of syrup and evaporated milk.

Love this Place!

Love this Place!

Since long queue formed outside during dinner time, so my mother and I took a look on their set menu.

Always cannot decide what to eat when I reached there because the selection are so varied! Great mix of Chinese and fusion foods. I especially love the hotplates and the desserts.

Specialty Mix Grilled Hot Plate Set Meal included Soup and Coffee that attracted me. I opted for the cream soup instead of the tomato-based borsch (Ukrainian soup), but the waitress told us that the kitchen only left Borsch Soup and I had no choice in accepting it.

From the list of drinks, I ordered the popular beverage of Mango Mosaic in exchanging the free coffee/tea with milk by topping up $3.00 due to the FLAMINGG MANGOS displayed in their menu.

While the drinks being served, aroma of mango was there. However, it was pretty diluted after tasting it.
Fried Egg, Chicken Wing, Chicken Chop, Pork Chop, Ham and Sausage in Garlic Sauce.

Pretty generous portion of food for Asian culture in Singapore. The food quality is of good standard and also of an affordable price.

Brewed Coffee

It was Sunday night and after bringing my friend for shopping, we stopped by here for a short rest to have a drink before going back home.

She wanted a Cappuccino and I ordered a cup of Brewed Coffee.

I just waited at counter for 5 minutes and were ready to collect.

This time, the crew brewed great coffee for my order because it is better than traditional instant coffee.

Note: This place may be suitable for a group of friend because there is no nice ambience to look at night.

Weekday Lunch with my friend - respectable standards with prompt service.

Since Pu-erh is the famous tea, I quickly told the waitress after sitting down.

The waitress served soy bean sheets as appertiser nowadays, but still can request the captain to give another plate of peanuts if you know her well.

We never look at the menu and just listen to the waitress's recommendation, then placed order accordingly.

This was my third visit to this restaurant in my life and we enjoyed sumptuous Chinese cuisine such as dim sum like fried carrot cake, also known as Chai Tow Kueh for lunch.

Perfect for a clear shark fin dumpling soup.

Assam Cod Fish with lady fingers and crunchy broccoli with garlic sauce are considered our main course.

Stewed claypot chicken with bitter gourd was not bad when mix with rice.

Before bill settlement, we ordered Gui Ling Gao - herbal turtle jelly.

Note: The manager will offer diners a complimentary cake on their birthdays.

Ye Zi Mei Pao

Ye Zi Mei Pao

It's been a while since my last visit to this shop in the first half of this year. I packeted it for my girlfriend to take home because this gigantic pao can easily fill her up like a standard meal as supper. This was her first time ordering this jumbo big pau. What caught her eye was nothing other than it's SIZE.

I told her that the chicken meats used is not fatty at all and it is nicely marinated - not overly wet but juicy enough...

“Ye Zi Mei Da Bao” which is quite similar to Malaysia's local "Da Bao - 大包", which is big.

Conclusion: Value for money and very filling. Don't expect any queue too when you visit after 10.00 p.m. Moreover, the super big bao called ye zi mei da bao is yummy.
