Nice Vegetarian food  OK Mar 02, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

Don't really like to eat vegetable but seem like I going to run out having nice food in the same area everyday. As vegetable are known to heal the tissue and repair the cell , I think I should have some vegetable to recover the bruises I got on my legs after wearing the new heels.while I was looking around for seat, I saw this seat near the vegetarian restaurant that I quickly chop it with my jacket before it gone and see people queening up in this stall for the food which seem nice. I follow the quee. I never regret having the vegetarian that day as it nice like normal bee Hoon , Rojak , crispy tao kee and juicy mushroom and only cost around $2. Smell fragrant that I finish the vegetarian food today for people who don't really eat vegetable. Environment is alway crowed. However, what I don't really like is the service of the uncle as I understand that he is trying to fasten the quee but he seem so hungry that stress me to faster pick my choice and give me back the change with his black face like so unwillingly, I think this is what he have to look Into if he wants his good food to continue with the quee as service is also important aspect I would for in food. Overall, it clean and affordable.

Heard of Lao ban soya bean curd ? To many, this is what we think of when having beancurd. The new modern type of beancurd. As written, it is original and almond from old Changi airport, then to many different outlet at Clemeti and now spotted at raffles place while I went back to my previous office to look for previous collage and shop around. I brought the original and enjoy it. It served cold even i walked around the raffles before consuming it on the hot day and it was made nicely , smooth and just yummy in taste, just sweet enough for me. It was so easy to eat and the service is nice as I can't remember the price and Iask the uncle the price. he told mei it was just $1.50 . oh only have all $10 note with me so to search fox coin in smaller value but realize not enough coin and end up still using the $10 to pay. The uncle was patient, friendly and smiling although there still people wanting to buy the beancurd. The overall environment is clean as it s situated near escalator at Uob center. I brought it up to eat at the chair nearby.

Attended the open rice event today and I really enjoy the atmosphere and the food tasting.it was more that enough that i taught it would be.it is also near the Somerset mrt which made it very convenient. It was decorated with snoopy and comic which bring me back to the childhood memories and moreover I still a cartoon lover now. There even have snoopy character stuff for sale which I think would be a great thing to shop and gift as Christmas or new year present. The owner is also very friendly in sharing with us about the food and how it comes about. I hope to visit the place again with friends, family as i am sure my younger sister and cousin would like this too.it would be great and attractive to kid or people who are as fussy as me to look at the attractiveness of the food before deciding to buy them. First, the appetittier which is the mushroom soup is really creamy and I can taste the mushroom in it. The mash potato in a cup with chicken is also great as it really special exposure to me. It can be eat individually or as a complimentary itself. The pizza is also as yummy as it is like those Pizza Hut. Next, we try the Charlie chicken wing which is just unique with it sauce and as mentioned by the owner. I like this more than I enjoy the next fried chicken although it was bigger in size and the owner is also very generous as it serve two plates of four when we have more people on the table. Well, it taste slightly about salty for me but it blend well with the mash potato and would be just nice some people who preferred salty items on it owns. I was also surprised by the drink served to us named as the 4 season: summer, autum ,winter, spring. All are decorated with a sparkle , everyone look surprise and happy including myself that I can't bring myself to take photo of it as it simply light up my life and would be a great idea to drink this when you are feeling down or want to feel the 4 atmosphere. It would just make you smile when it drinks it as I got the autum which taste sweet , just suit my taste with apple and strawberry.....got a slip of summer too which is orange and carrot is a bit sour but blend well...I like it.next was winter which is slightly plain for those who preferred plain item. I never got to taste spring, but it looks great too!smile I would say a wonderful effort by the owner to blend this as it looks great and let's us enjoy the drink happily and finding out what it really have in it. Just like anything and whatever last time. I would love have the chance to drink it again!,! As it would lift up one feeling, represent in a person character and enjoy it especially the the season,.....Christmas is coming.....I would be a great substitute of wine;)

2nd year anniversary dinner Smile Jul 02, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : European

It our second year anniversary and decided to visit Blisshouse Restaurant to celebrate this moment and I'm quite happy with this recommendation by a blogger.

I ordered the Vongole Linguine, Salmon Pizza and Cocktail of the day - 1 alcohol and 1 non-alcohol. Well, I was surprised with the ordering method using iPad although this was not the first time I was seeing this.

I like this idea as I was able to view the pictures of the food for those who didn't know the name of the food items but might not be beneficial to those who are not technology savvy.

Well, their waitress service is nice when taking order despite this as she explains to me clearly on the cocktail of the days which I took the alcohol and bf took the non-alochol as he was driving

We both got a taste of each other drinks. I was a little disappointed at first when I was told there might not be enough ingredients for the pizza as that was one of the highlights I was looking forward to. The good news is that the waitress went to check out and made it for me. I waited for quite a while for the food. Perhaps I understand they needed time to prepare but I think the pizza outcome was satisfactory. That was the first time I tried salmon pizza. The salmon was generously and artistically lined on the pizza, fresh, crispy and thin.

The Vongole Linguine came before the pizza and I almost finish it before the pizza came as I really hungry and food is tempting. Again it beautifully decorated, a lot clams and cheese, smooth but well the sauce is not as well-mixed as there are many ingredients but still able to taste it toward the end.

The cocktail was the first one served and we finished drinking it before all our food as I wish for more and not get enough. The overall taste is well done especially the salmon pizza is a surprisesmile

The environment is well decorated too, almost like a fairy tale and I loved it! Good to takes pictures for memories like this special occasion. Although we were the last customers, we were still able to take some pictures although we did hear that they are closing soon.tongue

Love the view, and we got to enjoy the process of the food together with the window for the view at night life of Clarke quay and relaxing atmosphere. The place was clean and I love it as it looks so classy with sofa and piano. The service was alright but I like the way there tried to make the pizza for me although they made a disclaimer that they might not have enough ingredients. They were good at handling unforeseen situations.

The price was a bit expensive as it about $30/pax but it was worthwhile paying for the food, atmosphere and good service.

Daddy's Day celebration  Smile Jun 19, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Dim Sum

As an OCBC Frank card user, I got $10 Din Tai Feng voucher from OCBC and was thinking to treat this as a opportunity to try new food during a special occasion.

This voucher is also valid on Father's Day, and since Daddy likes Chinese food we settled for the branch at Raffles City as it is located near our place.

What's more, we are lucky to know about the pop up store of Asia Room around that earns us the opportunity to spend the voucher again from our winnings smile

1st attempt - Xiao cai

1st attempt - Xiao cai

We ordered the Xiao Cai which is like those China style with beansprouts and other vegetables and for me and my sister who is not a fan of vegetables tried it too but only in a small portion. It is good as an appetizer to start the meal and glad that it was our first dish.

Prawn Xiao long bao

Prawn Xiao long bao

We have the famous Xiao Long Bao but this time Daddy called for something different. We usually have with meat to prawn and well, it tastes as great as I love prawn and something unique. My sister disliked it as there are small vegetables in it but it tasted as great for me and Daddy that we wanted to order another plates of it.

The juice bursts into my mouth as usual and have the shiok feeling while my sister felt only scalding as she put one entire Xiao Long Bao into her mouth too fast.

We also had the Fried Rice with Pork Ribs as Daddy wanted to try something different again. We are all satisfied with it with a fair share each. The fried rice is fragrant and the meat is tender and soft but to me a bit fatty and I love it. Daddy never get enough and take my share too... alright it was father day so let him tongue...

Well, I have the free flow hot jasmine while they had soft drinks which were more expensive that normal retail prices but well that is understandable. Still preferred hot jasmine as it is free-flow, cheaper and probably healthier too.

Their service was good as they refill the moment I was about to finish everything despite the crowd. Just that the speed of serving the dishes might be a little slow as we are all hungry waiting for 1st dish. It wass worth waiting for good food anyway.

The environment is clean, food are mostly great and service are nice. It is recommendable and I was surprised with voucher I just need to top-up only $20+! Overall they are clean as they are wearing masks for hygiene.
