Sizzling Hotplates Dishes Smile Apr 25, 2011

Who says hawker-style korean food can't be good? This particular stall at Yew Tee Point, Koufu is reasonably priced and is delicious for all it's worth. It's kinda off that I've never tried the bibimbap (which is something I would usually order whenever I visit Korean Food outlets), Perhaps I was successfully seduced by the sizzling hotplates dishes which they served to customers in front of me. OK recommendations: Try the hotplates of course. Get a set meal as it is freaking cheap! I'm a fan of the saba fish and spicy marinated pork set! The fish especially is really tasty when drizzled with squeezes of lime juice! 100% appetizing and tasty. You gotta to try this if you happen to be at Yew Tee.

Above Average Smile Apr 25, 2011

I expect above average fare from this branch of casual Chinese dining concept from Tong Luk and indeed, Zhou Kitchen rawks! If you are starving and is in need of quick and fuss-free meals, I strongly recommend this restaurant that offers offers all-time Chinese favourites. Be sure to order the Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk. The generous serving is more than enough for 4 pax to share as an appetiser. You will fall in love with the ultra-crispy fish skin which cackles at each bite. Not to mention the perfectly flavoured salted egg yolk which covers each piece of skin thoroughly. Other must-try is the Double-boiled Herbal Soups such as “Tan Jia” style Braised Fish Maw Broth or Hot and Sour Seafood Broth which is tastefully done. Veg lovers don't miss the Stewed Eggplant with Minced Pork served in Claypot! It's a delight with fragrant white rice! I can easily have 2 bowls of rice with just this dish alone!

Green Curry OK Apr 25, 2011

I would say that the tom yum here is of average standard but the green curry on the other hand, it’s pretty good. Not overly spicy and went perfectly with the fragrant rice! Hmm come to think about it, they served the tom yum in individual bowls (we came in a group of 8) so maybe it’s not as enticing as a hot pot of tom yum? Shall come again to try.

Lop Cheog! Smile Apr 25, 2011

Am not too sure if it’s park or not but the thin slices of Chinese sausages taste really good like lap cheong! This version of the fried kway teow is of the juicier type. More oil? Wonder if it’s pork lard. But after finishing a dish of Lai Heng Lakerieur Char Kway Teow, I got to resist myself from getting a second order. The smell of freshly served Char Kway Teow can be picked up from my seat not too far from the stall. Ah the fragrance~

Lunch Favorite Smile Apr 25, 2011

Good halal restaurant to dine in with malay friends. Came here often to have the steak! Colleagues have been raving about the steak here that it is cheap and resonably good for the price. True, true. I’m satisfied with the steak as it was done perfectly covered with savoury black pepper sauce. Not too overly done. Esp crave for the fats which laced the meat. *drools* But the small hot plate could not fit more veg.. realised they always serve 3 tiny pieces of either brocolli/cauliflower. More please?
