My family decided on trying out this Indian restaurant situated near Somerset MRT station. We made a reservation the day before, thus, upon arrival, we were quickly ushered to our table.

After the order was placed, we were served with Pappadums which came with three dips.

The servers were good at recommending dishes based on our preference and we decided on the following to be shared about three of us.

This came smoking and sizzling on the platter, the chicken pieces were so juicy and tender. One of our favourite dishes of the day.

We love basmati rice, and we picked saffron rice to go with our dishes that day. It was fluffy and yummy. Of course, must order Garlic Naan to mop up the curry dishes.

Upon knowledge of our love for eggplants, the server recommended this dish and I'm glad we took his suggestion. It was an interesting dish with peanuts~ My favourite dish of the meal.

Goan Fish curry was a mild curry dish to try and it was alright. I preferred the eggplant dish.

Overall, it was a good experience, and will definitely be back to try more of the other dishes.

Recommended Dish(es):  Chicken Tikka,Saffron Rice,Hyderabadi Baingan,Goan Fish Curry,Garlic Naan

Jamie's Italian  OK Mar 31, 2014

Categories : Italian | Pasta | Seafood

After catching a movie with my family, we decided to head down to Jamie's Italian to satisfy our cravings for pasta. We were ushered to a table immediately with no reservations. The lights were pretty dim, music was playing in the background, suitable for a casual dining with my family. We decided to order the much raved polenta chips and baked mushrooms for our sides and picked three mains to share.

As we were going for desserts after, we chose a smaller serving size for the pasta. The lasagna was greatly favored by my sister. (You could ask for heaps of shaved cheese from the servers if you would like to go with your dishes.) I did not really fancy it though... The pasta dishes we ordered were disappointing with the pasta over cooked, it turned out to be pretty soggy to us... However, the sides were extremely delicious!! I especially love the polenta chips, better to eat it while it is hot!

I probably will not return as there are better Italian restaurants in Singapore and the prices are quite high for the quality....
