Which Pie Face Are You? OK Jan 22, 2015
Categories : Australian / New Zealand | Bakery

Pie Face, the world’s largest pie chain, has finally arrived in Singapore from Australia!
These savoury pies come in both regular and mini sizes. There is two ways of having the pies, one is in a cardboard sleeve, so you can eat them while on the go, second it eat them as "stacks" for those dining in. Stacks are pies topped with smash, mashed potatoes or peas and gravy [additional $1 each].

The regular pies are priced at $4.90 each and the mini pies are priced starting from $3.00 each. My favourite is the Chunky Steak Pie, add the ketchup sauce for a more distinct flavour. Thai Green Curry Chicken Pie is pretty good too, you don't really see this type of flavours in pies. Besides pies, they serve awesome sausage rolls too! I recommend you to try Chicken & Cheese Sausage Rolls, it is packed with cheese all around and in the middle too.

Last but not least, mini sweet pies are available too! You got to try Coffee Mousse Pie - fragrant and creamy soft centred. Perfect for coffee lovers.

Finer Tapas in Serangoon Gardens OK Jan 19, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Fusion

Serangoon Gardens populated by all the bars, SYNC is now available there too, with a finer tapas! SYNC has another outlet in Westgate Mall with a different concept, serving Korean Fusion Bistro. Over at the Tapas Bar, SYNC features a gamut of Korean-inspired tapas and cocktails from $9.90.
The tapas menu is an innovation of both Consultant Chef Edwin Lau and Head Chef Calista Ong. Both has extensive experience and interest in various cuisine and came from renowned hotels, restaurants and culinary institute across the world.
My favourite is the Crackling [$9.90] - crackling of umami cod chips.
One of my favourite tapas of the night! It goes well with soju or beers. Perfect for just chilling and chatting with friends. If only they could cut down on the oil used.

Misugaru Lava Cake [$8.90] - A unique creation to bring out the Korean essences. Go to Sync Korean Bistro to try the other 3 flavours!

Bringing Korea to You OK Jan 07, 2015
Categories : Korean

Enjoy over an assortment of over 200 types of authentic Korean, Korean-Chinese, Korean-Western, Korean-Japanese cuisine and a variety of street food right at the heart of Resorts World Sentosa. Not only do they have a team of specialised chefs from Korean crafting the authentic recipes, even the food supplies are air flow directly from Korea.

A comforting dish especially so on rainy days! This dish is similar to what was served in Korea. In the chicken, you'll find glutinous rice and ginseng. Also, with the small bowl of milk to added into the soup just brings the richer and denser taste to the soup.

Orders can be taken through the self-order kiosk, which only accept cash. Other modes of payment like cards, will be available through the cashiers.

Heavenly Four coloured burgers OK Jan 05, 2015

Categories : American | Restaurant | Pasta | Steaks and Grills | Salads/ Acai Bowl | Brunch

Eggs & Berries are known for using only natural fresh ingredients and are handmade by a team of dedicated chefs. Build-your-own coloured burgers are not your every day coloured burgers, these are filled with healthy benefits.

Pairing the buns with any of the four handmade gourmet patties, all burgers will be served with a side of potato wedges and mixed greens. Other worthy mains besides the burgers, would be their breakfast dishes, like Eggs Benedict Solo. Drinks wise wasn't the best of choice.

You will be surprise to know that they change their menu every six to nine months, await for new surprises! The reason why dishes takes so long to arrive at your table, is because they cook it on the spot when you order it (literally a la carte). And the highest priced item is only at $18.80!
Some dishes were really good and some has room for improvement. My personal favourites for mains would be Riz Au Curry [$15.50] and Riz Noir Squid Ink Rice [$16.50]. Whereas I think Soufflé De Nuage and Mac & Cheese lack the flavour I was expecting (well it's could individual preference).

Dessert wise, I find that their Famous French Toast [$9.80] is better than the other cafes that served pretty similar ones. I personally love the Soufflé Pancake (not very much with the cream chesse though).
