This place was introduced by Ron and he always eat here for lunch. So just happened that i went to his office nearby to wait for him, he decided to bring me here for dinner. In fact, we came here about 8pm and the queue was still quite long. But we are lucky enough to find seats, even though the space is not big. I guess its because everyone here has this idea of "Eat and Go" rather than eat then chit chat.

Bull Run Noodle ($8.00) - Chicken with Green soba noodle. The portion was not very big but it turns out to be filling. Food not very oily. The noodle itself has not much taste so must mix well with the seasoning.

Salmon Noodle ($9.00) - Salmon with Green soba noodle. The Salmon is abit dry compared to the chicken.

Black soya milk ($1.60) - I really love this. It feels so healthy and nice. Its not sweet at all. But Ron did not like this, maybe its because its not sweet to him.

Recommended Dish(es):  Black soya milk

W39 Bistro & Bakery Brunch Review Smile Mar 11, 2015

Our love for brunch carry on to 2015.

Since its the first brunch of the year, we decided to go somewhere new. And here we were.......

W39 bristro and bakery

A hidden gem in the west of Singapore.

The cafe is situated at West Coast. The actual address is 39 Jalan Mas Puteh. The closest MRT station will be Clementi MRT, however it's going to be a super long walk. So I suggest to take bus 78 from Clementi MRT station.

The space of the cafe consider acceptable. They have both indoor and outdoor seatings. The decor of the place gives a nostalgia feel. They have 1 small little corner that sells handmade wallets, cookies for Chinese New Year and snacks that kids ate in the 80s. Its pretty interesting though.

We were greeted by this little name tag upon seating down. And I really like it because I find it very so personal. I remembered the other cafe that had this little name tag was Five and Dime Cafe.

I would say the price of the food here is consider more wallet friendly. I am quite excited of going back soon for their Mee Siam because i saw many of their customers ordered that too. So i supposed it must be good!!

Brie Parma Ham Panni ($10.50) - When the dish was served i really think that it was nothing special. However, i was really wrong. The truffle oil brings this to a whole new level. I will give this 5/5.

Eggs Benedict ($10) - Good. This is definitely yummy and cheap.

Salted Caramel ($6.80) - Not too rich and its just right. I will give this 5/5.

Cafe Mocha ($5.00) - Its nice to complete our meal with a cup of coffee.

Overall, this place is affordable and food is very good. I will come back again for sure because i want to try their Mee Siam, Hearty breakfast and also more cakes too!

Ron and i are Indonesian food lovers. Whenever we are in Indonesian, we will definitely eat their local food because we simply enjoy it. In Singapore, if we come across any stall or restaurant that sell Indonesian food, it is always the case... "Lets try it". Because we really miss the food in Indonesian. And recently, we found one that is REALLY good in Singapore that we really want to share.

IndoChili Indonesian Restaurant

IndoChili is the leading family friendly Indonesian Restaurant. They are the winner of Food Republic Hawker King Challenge and one of the restaurants rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8 Days Magazine. Currently the restaurant is located along Zion Road which is just opposite Great World City. The most important thing is they served authentic Indonesian food!!!!!

They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Given the space, it is spacious. It is also a ideal place for family/friends gathering. It is baby friendly too.

This is really nice to know that the restaurant believes in NO MSG!!!!

Cah KangKung ($8.80)

Tahu Telor ($8.80) - This beancurd omelette is a MUST order dish!!! I have to say that this is very very very yummy. The savory sweet peanuts sauce is way too awesome. Ron and i love it very much and it is by far the best Tahu Telor we have eaten. We give you 5/5.

Sate Ayam Madura (5pcs) ($7.80) - The chicken was not tough and it went very well with their sauce. It is my favorite dish as well.

Udang Bakar Jimbaran ($17.50) - Prawns were fresh.

Ayam Bakar Kecap ($8.80) - This grilled chicken was not dry at all and quite tender being the fact it was grilled. Ron's favourite dish.

Left: Kiwi Cream Soda ($5.80) ; Right: Es Kopi Duren ($5.80)

If i have only one item to pick in the drinks menu. I will go for Es Kopi Duren. Both of us really like this drink. Basically, its DURIAN COFFEE ice blended. It is very rich and tasty. Honestly, I am missing it now.

Overall, it was a satisfied dinner for sure. Food was authentic and nice. Ron said their food "有水准" (Got standard) with good customer service. We will come back for sure, specially for Es Kopi Duren and Tahu Telor.

Kueh Lapis Legit Durian (Medium) ($32.00) - I wanted to buy home the original flavor but they have sold out. This shows how good the Kueh Lapis is. But lucky, we managed to get this which has durian flavor. Ron bought home the medium size and ask the staff in the restaurant to cut it half for us. So this is the half portion for my family. Try and Tasted! Thumbs up!

Llao Llao, The Frozen Yogurt OK Mar 17, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

Llao Llao has been in Singapore for awhile and finally I got to try it just recently. Yes! Recently! This is because the queue at Llao Llao is always very long and so happened I am always rushing for meetings that I can't afford the time to queue till recently.

Honestly, i think the Yogurt taste more like ice-cream. It does not have this typical yogurt taste. After my first mouth, i remembered saying "It has this strong milk taste! ". Then i realised that Llao Llao yogurt is make from Slimmed Milk. Subsequently when i mixed it with fruits and nuts, it tasted good!!! This made the experience better and i almost forgot that i am having yogurt because it just tasted like a healthy version of vanilla ice-cream.

I am quite excited to try this in Europe at the end of the year!!!
