too sweet mango OK Mar 31, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Desserts and Cakes

Sweet cold dessert around the place and this was a new place I've never seen before. As influenced by my pal who loves mango so much I decided to try the chef recommendation mango dessert with jelly and the chewy sphere bits.

It was on a hot day so it was really refreshing. However I think they added too much sugar syrup so the mango taste isn't really there... It's not rich in its mango.

Thai pineapple fried rice OK Mar 31, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Thai | Food Court

Roaming around the Suntec basement area thinking of what to eat, finally we stumbled upon this resto. We thought that it wasn' that bad to try.

The menu was of standard like any other Thai places - and so from the rice menu, I ordered the fried yellow pineapple rice, which was marked by chef's reccomendation and it's something that Thai cuisine is famous of.

When it came, the rice was yellow topped with floss - not sure which kind. You can't see a thing what they did put inside, but then after you start eating you could feel the generous portion of chopped pineapple, some bits of shrimp (careful for people who are allergic to seafood) and chicken. But then for the taste it was quite mild and OK, something that I can find for cheaper at a food court or so.

Chicken rice and chilled drink OK Mar 31, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Coffeeshop

The restaurant was as busy busy busy as ever when I came - my cousin recommended me that this eating place is an old famous one since she was like, young for the chicken rice. It was around 7-8PM when we came, so to avoid the crowd and the staff to ignore you when you want to order, maybe you could come earlier smile

The drink was totally refreshing - I thought it was truly homemade but it was already packed. Or at least it still should be. It was a hot situation since it was open air fan restaurant.

The chicken rice was to say, normal though. It wasn't so fragrant but the chicken was tender! However still, nothing quite beats the chicken rice at Novena tongue

standard chicken rice OK Mar 30, 2011

New Hawa restaurant was the nearest place from the place I was dropped with my friend, so we were hungry and decided to stop by here after looking at the quite full places.

I ordered the standard chicken rice, and as usual it is served with cucumber and chicken chop. The rice was of normal standard but wasn't so fragrant, and the chicken was tender however not flavorful. Well, maybe it isn't the dish to try perhaps!

I was hungry so I chomped it down like mad!

french fries' wardrobe OK Mar 19, 2011
Categories : Stall / Kiosk | Kids-Friendly

I do regard this place as the place to get your dresses for your french fries. Like a wardrobe, it has so many sauces to choose to top your fries, from the normal cheese, to BBQ, wasabi, and many other interesting sauces I have yet to try.

I ordered the hot tea and french fries with cheese, something to clear the sticky cheese and burn the fat down after I ate. tongue

But sadly, the cheese was normal, and turns out that the sauce was so limited it comes in a small serving of a cup rather than they slather it all over the fries as pictured. It's just OK, nothing too fancy and thought their fries were going to be real good.
