As formerly introduced but without picture, here I shared what I had for dinner one day on a weekday!

I ordered this time, their chef recommended Thai fried rice for $6. It had chicken, sliced scrambled egg and red onions topped with lime to be spread on top. It had a fresh taste once you add the lemon lime, and the chicken tasted just nice - simple sweet-sauce for the chicken and although the egg was a bit dry, at least the fried rice was a bit mushy (bit too much water when cooking the rice?) and it balances well. The taste is just nice, and it's even better with that famous translucent thai chilli sauce. And of course, lemongrass to accompany! Nothing better to drink in this place!

Will share their other meals very soon - been visiting often with friends here!

All in One Great Buffet! Smile Aug 12, 2010

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Buffet

The most memorable would be on my birthday last year where I found the place through credit card promotions but I didn't have any CC's so I had approached the manager and negotiated him to give me the same price because I had about 20 people altogether.
The buffet variation is two thumbs up for the price, it is so very worthed!!mad
you better start digging!chopstick

the sushi was fresh and simple, but still they have sashimi and for a buffet price like this, it's amazing. They also had local stalls and those prawn in the cracker cup thing which is absolutely delicious. The main courses ranges from pork to chicken and beef, and they're all good to fill in. They also had a dessert stall to make your own ice kachang, or scoop ice creams, or the little cakes parlor with the BEST ECLAIR WHICH RAN OUT because well, I think I still had the bigger percentage in eating compared to my cousin. But i do miss it now.

the place although the hotel looks.... old from the outside, the inside has been refurbished. The restaurant has a cool and clean environment, it's a great place to hold family events or a small gathering together. It really is a hidden gem in between Farrer Park there.

Once a favorite, it will be always a favorite for everyone.
This stall never dies down as the price increased slowly for now it is $5.50 for the standard grilled chicken meal set, which includes the chicken, rice, omelette slice and the curry sauce dipped all over.

The best would be how the chicken is dripping wet with the sweet kecap hitam sauce all over, left after grilling to perfectness but maintains a soft skin inside and out in the huge piece of chicken drumstick and breast together.

The place is still a win afterall, and it hasn't change nor reduced its portion so it's still the place to go!lol

Dried out Seafood Smile Jan 16, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre | Brunch

First time to eat this kind of dish, it was a really hot place with high humidity in this monsoon weather. Ordering dry yong tau foo, the uncle then went onwards to boil the seafood out before mixing it back on the bowl with some looking red and brown sauce, spring onions and a dash of sesame.

With choice of kway tiao for noodles, it was only $2.40!

It smelled like those old chinese medicine which makes me cringe mad but apparently tasted alright afterall! And they also gave the soup on a separate bowl, where you can alternatively pour it all and do it like a normal yong tau foo.

Of course, with the accompanying soy sauce my cheap and flavorful peanut-like paste sauce will certainly bring me back to order this! Say goodbye to hot soup yong tau foo. Makes me perspire like a wet towel.

Crunch yer buck 'ere Smile Jan 09, 2012

The cookieatmonster is back! And let me tell you if you have the biggest appetite ever like I do, having a men's stomach in a girl's being, this is a stall you can't miss for being its A grade cleanliness score seen on the front side of the stall and the two men chefs who, I asked where did you guys go, sometimes you guys open, sometimes you're not even around.

"Well, we sometimes feel that it's not so full with people so we don't open, then if we wake up early we'll open."

like a slacker like me, their cooking skills don't reflect that, rest assured.

I ordered the fried fish with veggies and rice set because it looked huge in the picture. And it came out as expected. chopstick

I have to say thumbs up as the veggies are fresh and has a lot of varieties which I dont find much where else - carrot, mushrooms, paprika, broccoli and some cabbage here and there with bbq sauce is awesome.

Fish is fried to perfect crunch, I assume its dory fish fillet, streamed with mayonnaise.

Rice portion is also quite generous.

Tastewise should be pretty plain and straightforward as the taste meddles and heavily depends on your ketchup and chilli and mayonnaise usage dose (my case, its all three in one and adds up a mountain) but given on a big white plate, I felt like I was at Fish and Co half the price.
