BBQ bulgogi me out Smile Jan 19, 2012

As a Blood Type O and craving for korean food, choosing bulgogi beef meat hot plate was something I havent ate in a long time. The place looks really new and good, as I've never been here before!

So it looked promising.

The portion and placement, also looked promising. tongue

The rice on the metal tin was rather give a small portion but the meat was placed in a long hot plate which was fantastic! Although it was really well done dry and the meat was very much thinned sliced so it burned up dry rather quick, and without the gochujang sauce (pepper paste or dwaenjang, soy paste) it was rather weak just as the meat. The sweet soy sauce wasn't enough on the hot plate! I finished the rice faster than the meat which shows the good portion, but the only thing they missed out was they didn't have the very Korean sauce ready, they only had soy sauce and ketchups.

bright yin and yang noodles Smile Jan 19, 2012

The kind uncle who cooked the dish was friendly enough for my request to try out a mix of kway tiao and egg noodles together with the dish. it was a fairly rainy day across Vivo and i was stuck. The place of this Telok Blangah food centre was filled with a lot of collared people, judging from the office across, made it as a fairly large place and cheap eatery.

The portion was OK for the noodles and the sauce was quite spicy which I took to surprise (Dont find a lot of spice stuff in Singapore). But the fishballs were great! it was so soft and the taste just purges out of fish and the right amount of wonder powder! It was a good meal for a cookeeatmonster fishball eater!

takeaway mini 'steak' Smile Jan 19, 2012

The place where I can always count on when wanting to eat pure western and protein and not spending too much money at my school's cafe; just a run off away is Astons Express.

With $6.5 nett, I ordered the chicken teriyaki sauce with side dishes of pasta salad and baked potato.

bowlThe good part: you know when its freshly served as it took about 10 full minutes before my order came out in a very non-peak hour ( I was the only one ) and waiting for them to cook it out and boil the potato.

The potato was given whole, very hot and soft as the butter melted down. The pasta was just cooked al dente but i expected more vegetables, this was just pasta with some light cream sauce.

Chicken was at the right portion between juicy and hard for its fibers, and sweetness for the teriyaki. Of course, it was sort of destroyed with the tomato ketchup and chilli. lol

chopstickThe bad thing: You NEED PATIENCE FOR THE BEST FOOD TO COME, bang for yer buck.

Cheap and freshness! Smile Jan 19, 2012

The promotion of $1 buck off trailed me to give it a try, having a mere stall with colorful decorations and blue-colored ambience and the polar bear as their logo.

Whyogurt's original price of $3 for a cup was already cheap, so $2 getting even a flavored berry yogurt was damn cheap!

Taste was very much refreshing without damaging your wallet and tummy for its a healthy dessert! It retains the sour flavor of the berries and original taste together, making it a light delight for the afternoon snack!

The server was also very friendly, she was helpful and kind when I asked for tasters. smile

The buffet is why everyone returns.

Other than the part where you can have unlimited sweet soft drinks and ice cream parfaits, sundae and ice cream scoops and do whatever you want to your drink, the food in reality, really is just en passe.

It is really worth your money supposedly for the place where it is located in the city and for the price and buffet, sure, it is a good deal!

ordering steamed ginger dory which comes with rice and miso for $7++, the meal was just dissapointing that the fish portion was small and it was dead and almost to cold because they've cooked probably a whole school of fish at one time.

Maybe other menu would be better such as the fried stuff, and bowl TIP to PLEASe don't order any ramen. Like hello, there are a ton of authentic ramen stalls our there, even the semi-authentic franchise ones would still be a good pick.
