After a Kpop night blast, my friends were hungry for supper. Out of the blue while walking around, finally we went to Hooters! (wonder why people haven't been eating here, hooray to me being the first, lucky lucky~!) XD

Served by the notorious waitress who, introduced her name, then recommended meals, etc. and I was half twitching (Hooters first) on the way before my friend enlighten me that "they always have to intro their name before taking orders" and i was like, "oooooh" tongue

Definitely chicken wings was on the list to share and one main meal of burger for my pal which I took a bite in, and taste verdict... acceptable. Nothing out of the fancy! beans as I assume is from the can too.

Wings though, were greaaaaaaaaat. Or maybe since we're fans of chickens. I think they brush some honey to make it sweet, and the meat was tender and super juicy - cos it was thick! No kidding. And the price was I think ridiculously affordable, this whole plate for $15 less?! 5/5 for this!!!!

Coming back for the wings. I think they had a promotion if you buy more than .... each wings is like only $1 or something. I do remember it was just super super super amazing price.

Of course the winds of the Spore river was blowing away, so it was the best place to be on that night to enjoy and just have a girls night out!

Unagi unagi~ Smile Mar 11, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Ramen

This well known humble little Japanese food joint is run by hubby and wife who dedicate themselves in good service and food at a great price!

As all might know or not, their unagi bento is the bang for your buck! It has recieved a lot of attention from print press, and by reading it you learn that the husband has worked several years back in the land of the rising sun, and now he brings ICHITEI to serve with his home-brewed sauce that is cooked for hours before serving it to you, spreading it above the unagi.

The unagi is so soft and juicy, thicker than most places. The rice is served with black sesame on top and fresh salad is to accompany the whole part.

Service can be a bit slow since it's only by the both of them and the wife being the only server.

Truly the place to get your unagi fix at a price!

HK style baked rice! Smile Mar 11, 2011

It was my classmate who had tried this place before and with the Q we waited, hoping that it was a really good place to fill our tums!

FInally we had our seats, and took time to think and order. Something easy to accept and automatically just nice in your tongue would be cheese. Cheese cheese cheese! I chose the cheese and beef baked rice on top for $12.90.

It came 20 minutes later because it really is super full house! Hot and piping, I cut into the cheese top and blew before.. yuuuummmmmmmm.

It was really hot so you gotta keep blowing where I wanted to scarf it all. The sweet sauce with the salty mozzarella is a nice combination and the beef is just to complement. No juice sadly, must not be the fat part tongue But hey, it's one of the best baked rice in town so far! Heard that this resto is famous in HK for their baked rice, that's why!

Place is quite cramped though not much space to walk around but the view to the island is good! Very bright when the sun's up!

dessert buffet like maaaaaaad Smile Mar 10, 2011

the crazy things life offer: all you can eat dessert buffet at swensens! For $29+, you can eat from the cakes, brownies, cookies, waffles, pancakes, and of course, the ice cream offered. From cheesecake, chocolate cake, the toppings for the ice cream such as cherries, nuts, syrup drizzles, oh my goodness!

A tip from me is to come after you had a marathon, while you're piping hot and you gotta eat and drink something cold! If you come from the rain like I did, I was so full - well not full, more like bloated and feeling so cold, so you're not eating for the bang for your buck.

Taste-wise, it's not sooooo creamy and not to light for the ice cream but I prefer Baskin Robbins thickness or Haagen Dazs. The cheese cake is really good though but you can get full even faster! So wrong.

You can be a DIY dessert chef when you're here - start decorating and choosing as you wish! lol

Chocolate Custard rolls OK Mar 10, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Bakery

This is the first stall of Provence I was introduced to and how good it is when the famous custard and chocolate rolls is just freshly out of the oven.

Well truthfully, whether people are just totally engrossed by the advertisement that it's so so good, I find it rather normal - i dont' taste the chocolate at all. Sure it is great when its out of the oven, its still soft and warm, just nice in your mouth, but really, I don't taste any chocolate nor custard, as you can see the line of the filling is so thiiiiiiiiiiiin.

It's expensive , 60c a piece, for a ridiculous small bread. Bread has the biggest turnover, making it from such a small piece of dough, to puff up. So imagine this small rolls are like thumb size which only costs like probably 5c to make. tongue

But really, any custard roll lovers care to enlighten me, esp. after four leaves, breadtalk start copying the bread too.

Instead, I like provence's dry cheese bread, which i forgot the name. Now that's unique and super nice!
