Me and my boyfriend always patronize this restaurant when the queue goes too long for the Ichiban Restaurant few steps away. The queue is relatively shorter for Yaki Yaki Bo although the restaurant also has too little seats. The food taste is superb. It looks and taste healthy. The portion is just nice for two people. If you do not want to get oily smell on you, choose the seats that are closer to the entrance.
Reasonable price and since it is belonged to the same company group that own Ichiban, you can collect a stamp for every $20 you spent.

Spending per head: Approximately $20

Eat out at Ambush OK Mar 07, 2013

Categories : European | Pasta | Paella

Jurong Point has alot of makan places and Ambush is one of them. It is a western restaurant which provides italian cuisines (pasta), swiss cuisines (like rosti) and etc.
Out of curiosity, I have decided to try out this squid ink pasta. It does not look appealing with its colour of course. At first few taste, I thought that it is quite a nice dish. However, as I continue to eat, I think it is too salty for me. However, if you prefer dishes with strong flavour, maybe you should try it smile
Just a gently reminder to the gals, do not try this dish if you are in a date! This picture tells you the reason tongue

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Lunch)

We went to this restaurant in the evening, so there's no crowd in the restaurant. As there are only 2 person eating, we decided to order a dish of veggie and the famous dang-gui roasted duck. The duck smells nice and taste nice as it has the aroma of traditional herbal medicine (that's if you like it). The menu actually introduces what are the benefits each dish bring to our body so that you will be able to make choices among all the dishes. The portion of one veggie and one duck is just nice for two person.
The dining environment is nice too, making the experience an enjoyable one. The price is reasonable too but you need to pay for plain water.

Accidentally passed by the restaurant when shopping at the star vista. The restaurant's owner is the Mediacorp's artist, Pornsak. The dining atmosphere is good, with vibrant colour and a tuk-tuk car on the wall. I guess that is the signature of the restaurant. The restaurant tee of different colours are hanging on the other side of the wall. It's so nice that I wish I could buy one of it haha.

The water is served in an antique look metal cup (looks abit dirty though) and the napkin has actually the logo on it! So cute!
Me and my boyfriend ordered a tom yam gung and a mango sticky rice as an early dinner. We hav tom yum gung with rice, but the portion is too small, and there is nothing much in the soup to be honest. However, the spicy and the sourness will definitely give you a surprise, and it makes you addicted to the taste!
The mango sticky rice is yummy, definitely recommended!

Dessert Place Smile Mar 07, 2013

Heard from a friend that this shop is famous for its fruit cakes. Thus, I made a visit with my family as we were shopping in Vivo. It is located nearby to other restaurants, shouldn't be hard to spot. Otherwise, you can just refer to the directory.
There is no crowd since I went there on a weekday. The variety of cakes are quite a lot, which makes me hard to choose which flavour to try out. In the end, I chose the one as shown in the pic (cant rmb wat flavour is it though :/)
The cake is nice and sweet, but my boyfriend didnt find it so special probably because he does not prefer sweet things. The fruits are fresh and the environment makes a good place for chilling.

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Tea)
