An American classic diner where food portions are so huge (for us Asians) that we can totally devour them in fat kid style.

Hickory BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger
Thick full beef burger with homemade Hickory BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, crisp seasoned bacon and melted Cheddar cheese. It’s a yummy mess.

A true hipster cafe with no proper signage, door, nor renovation – just some cellophane looking plastics to act as walls; I’m surprised how they got discovered in the first place, but that’s how hipster places function.

Lavender Latte
Of all the flavoured coffees, this ‘Lavender Latte’ hit the jackpot. It leaves you picturing yourself wandering in a lavender field, and it didn’t taste syrupy at all.

A fine-dining Japanese restaurant by the Les Amis Group whose Chirashi Don is highly raved.

Mazechirashi
This is the star of the meal. Be sure to order this earlier as there are limited bowls per day. It was indeed worth the rave – juicy fatty diced up chunks of sashimi (including sea urchin and my favourite swordfish) with lots of other ingredients like their sweet tamago. HEAVEN.

Nope, this isn’t some coffee specialty cafe. To put in more literal terms, it means ‘coffeeshop,’ but in an independent air-conditioned environment.
They sell day-to-day food from kaya toast sets (with local coffee); to chicken rice, wanton mee, nasi lemak; to tze char. Makes a good fuss-free eating place for families residing in Sengkang / North-East area.

Lolla is an atas, quaint, and pretty restaurant at Ann Siang area.
Sea Urchin Pudding
Highly recommended, mind blowing. The delicious black pudding at the bottom was made up of squid ink, egg yolk, cream, tomato paste then topped with fresh creamy sea urchin. The full portion ($36) will give you double the amount of sea urchin. This first dish quickly raised our expectations for the rest of the food.
