Xin Wang - Looks promising, but I find the food so-so.Went there a few months ago with my friends, ate the pork chop & papaya soup with noodles. Tasted pretty decent, however, I'm feeling a little disgusted that they used "maggi noodles" instead of any other type of noodles which somehow cheapens the entire dish. The rest are ok, I wouldn't say that they tasted fabulous, but just made the mark.

This is bad.. really bad.
Bad service, bad food, bad cleanliness.

I ordered this chicken & pork hotplate and it took about 30minutes to arrive! Moreover, I went on a non-peak hour, about 8 to 9 at night with less than 10 customers at that point of time!

When the food arrive, it came with the wrong sauce. I ordered mushroom sauce but it came with black pepper sauce.. Food presentation wise is pretty good, but the taste is really bad.. Meat is tough, pretty tasteless and bland, egg tasted so-so and nothing's really good in it.My mother ordered Chicken Salad and it came with very very, VERY TOUGH chicken cuts. Called the waiter for a change and he doesn't seem to what the problem is. Hence, he called the manager here and the manager offered to change to "Chef Salad" but my mom wants some meat.

My dad, a steak-lover, mentioned that his is below average.
Totally not worth to go again.

Happy Lemon's Tea Latte with Brown Sugar Jelly($4) and I always order the JUMBO size.
It is a drink that keeps me happy, just somehow. The tea latte, which taste like super thick milk tea, is very rich and the brown sugar jelly just complements the drink so well! Say bye-bye to the old, tapioca pearls. For just 4 bucks, its worth it!

Am always an avid fan of Pepper Lunch but this is seriously the worst one that I've ever encounter..Firstly, food is served reallllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy slow. Waiting time is about 15minutes with ~4 heads right in front of me. & you call that express?

Secondly, the portion of meat is utterly pathetic. I'm considered one of the "lucky ones" who got a little more than others. My friend ordered their beef pepper rice and there are ~ 10 THINLY SLICED 1CM BEEF. This is unacceptable.

Secondly, the rice is a little burnt on the underside when they served it to me. Not that I wasn't stirring at all, it is already slightly charred before I reach the table.

Slow service, poor quality for food, exorbitant prices. (As a student, I could easily get the pepper rice set lunch for $5.90 if I'm not wrong, at the Pepper Lunch restaurants.) Furthermore, I can also get some water. >_>I'm definitely not paying $6.20 for this meagre amount of meat as well as the snail-paced service. This changed my impression of "Pepper Lunch Express", not going to any of PL Express anymore. I'd rather head to their restaurants.

I'm always a toastbox lover - the price is very affordable and it has this nice nostalgic environment that brings me back to the "Ah gou ah mao" days hehehe.

As mentioned earlier, I'm always lurking around in the city area, hence I decided to stay at Toast Box to have a cup of "Yuan Yang".

So far, I dare to say Toast Box serves one of the best Kopi up to date. The coffee they serve is thick, strong yet not je-lat.Just right.

This time, i went to have the "yuan yang", which is a mixture of coffee and tea. They serve it just the way I like it. Not too strong nor too bland. Furthermore, it's just $1.60 a cup. Sure, it might be a little more expensive than your regular cup of coffee but it's definitely much cheaper than places like starbucks and tcc.

Highly recommended!
