new ice cream in town!  Smile Aug 30, 2011

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

My favorite flavor is the old-fashioned butter pecan. I know, sounds gross, but it is soo good! I always crave it. it has smooth texture, crunchy toasted pecans inside and make u feel so addictive!

Had this ice cream years back in malaysia and they finally came to singapore. You get to try all flavor before deciding which to go. I will still always opt for the premium single scoop of ice cream without any topping and waffles because the ice cream itself already taste so good! they have also take away ice cream which cames in a pint.

ice cream therapy...works every time.

Nice place for brunch Smile Aug 30, 2011

Had brunch with my girlfriends over the weekend at this place. The service, the ambience and most importantly, the unique proposition of being located on Tanjong Beach are all the factors that brought us here.

We went there couple months ago and the brunch menu selection are quite limited compare to now. I had a berry pancake, which serve nicely with syrup while the rest had salad and burger. We also ordered lobster pot pie which is their signature dish in tbc, Not as good as i expected, just an ordinary pot pie which makes it more premium by using lobster meat. We also had the calamari which i think is the best thing so far, crispy and chewy inside, not too oily and serve so well with their home made sauce!

We spend about 30++ each pax including drinks, not too expensive with such atmosphere. Im looking forward to their new menu smile

Great ambiance, sky high ceilings, lush greenery and laid back ambiance. It is so much more cosy than paragon branch.

It took us about 30 mins to get our seat, a very busy sunday noon time where everyone came here for brunch. We ordered a PS big bacon and egg, which comes up a very big portion. The plate serve full with herb toaste, crispy bacon, chargrilled sausages and and some roasted mushroom.

A friend of mine ordered croque monsier which dosent taste so good and not so origin. We spend about sgd60 for 2 pax for a lovely sunday brunch.

There were some pretty impressive looking cakes on display on the way in, which I would have loved to try, maybe my next trip smile

Comfort mamak food OK Aug 30, 2011

Otherwise known as the tea version of cappuccino, teh cino is best described as milk with a layer of tea on top. I like how RK do it in layered as you still can see the layer of the milk and tea when they serve it. After i tried this at RK, i totally fell in love with it.

RK do serve very nine mee goreng too, it is not so oily like the rest. squeezed the lime on the noodle to have better taste bud. All the ingredients provided their different texture and taste, contributing to the overall savory and spicy satisfaction. It taste kind of like char kuey teow. Other than that, rk house do serve very nice rojak too! you can DIY your own plate of DIY by selecting the item you would like to have from the display.

ain't typical indian cuisine Cry Aug 30, 2011

This is the most expensive indian meal i ever had.

Had dinner here with my voucher given by friend, total bill comes up to sgd60 and not enough to fill our tummy. We ordered lamb briyani, which taste quite good as the rice are not too oily, a dessert which is over sweet for my liking, i cant even finish it! and a pot of curry to eat with the briyani.

I have higher expectation from this place, indoor atmosphere are creepy, the light are not bright enough and u cant even see what you eating! food portions are small and too pricey for such indian food.
