This was what i settled for lunch ,economic rice is one of my top choice as i can savour a different variety of dishes, and according to my mood. This packet of rice comes in big serving, i was full until dinner time from 12pm.The vegetable was cooked to the softness i like, the rice was fluffy and not too dry and the chicken and pork cutlet taste great too.

LAKSA Smile May 15, 2011

I paid only about $3 for this bowl of very nice laksa
which comes with prawn, taupok, fishcake and also half an egg.
Even though i added extra chilli for the laksa,
it was not over spicy,
tasted just right. The chilli was abit like sambal chilli, slightly on the saltish side rather than spicy.
The laksa gravy is very good, i drank alot of the gravy before eating the noodles and the rest of the items.
There was no overload of coconut milk, otherwise the laksa would taste more milkish and not so nice.

wantan noodles OK May 15, 2011

I love eating wanton noodles with black soya sauce, i find it is the most authentic kind of wanton noodles
and i am happy to find this kind of wanton noodles here.
The noodles is not soggy at all,
and rather springy and nice to eat.
The wantons are usually small sized, and just nice to pop each and every one in your mouth .
I also ordered their fried wanton to go along with my noodles ,
taste great as well.

economic lunch OK May 15, 2011

I find economic beehoon/rice stalls well value for money as i can easily get breakfast/ lunch for about $2 and slightly more if i top up vegetables or other side dishes.
For today i ordered their nasi lemak set which comes with chicken wing and a sunny cheery egg that is cooked the way i like.
The chicken wing is slightly crispy and hot, i like that it was well flavoured.
I didnt ask for chilli which i usually would, as i was having sorethroat that day.

breakfastt OK May 15, 2011

This was what i ordered for breakfast, not much of a queue as i was there on my offday,
i reached about 11 am which was considered late , as it was nearing lunch hours.
I ordered the standard set that comes with the vegetarian charsiw and cabbages, as well as the fried taukee.
The beehoon were lightly seasoned, i feel this is a very healthy meal,
i should eat vegetarian food more often after eating from the stall,
as they taste very nice, not as bland as i thought.
