Located in the furthest corner of Dempsey Hill, Roadhouse is indeed the place for people who desires a meal without fuss and stay in the restaurant till it closes. Under the PrivÉ Group branch, Roadhouse is the only modern American diner serving sinfully good American fare in Dempsey Hill. It is not unusual to see many Americans coming in for a coffee or dining in.

There are many different sets of menu which you can choose from, and you can find out more from the roadhouse main website.

The restaurant is very cozy and dimly lit, borrowing the natural sunlight to illuminate the restaurant. The strategic location does not make the view very glaring, but grants a heavenly and peaceful feeling as you dig into your meal.

Roadhouse also provides very good and friendly service. The servers there were very passionate in their jobs, making sure to attend to every customer's needs. Roadhouse is famous for The Terminator Challenge, which requires brave participants to wolf down a 1kg burger within 20 minutes. Upon accomplishment, the burger is free for the participant and their name and picture will be pasted up on the Wall of Fame.

Liquid Cheeseburger Fondue - SGD10.00
Minced beef, melted cheddar, tomatoes & scallions, served with bread biscuits.
The liquid cheeseburger is a must-try for cheese fanatics. You can dunk in the entire bread piece into the melted cheddar. It is great eating it both hot and cold, so you can have a relaxing chat with your dining partner instead of focusing on finishing up the nacho cheese. However, I could hardly taste the minced beef in the cheese fondue.

Mac N' Cheese Bolognaise - SGD20.00
Cheese sauce, rich beef bologanise, aged parmesan, Monterey Jack & garlic bread
One can only wonder what the cheese sauce is made up of, but I am pretty sure that there is mozzarella cheese in there as well. The Mac N' Cheese Bolognaise were sticky and chewy and is great for all cheese-lovers.

Be forewarned though, you have to exercise those carbs away because the base of the ceramic plate is drizzled with too much oil. Thankfully, you can easily shed the fats off because Roadhouse is, well, located on a 'hill' after all.

Simple Brie-Vine - SGD24.00
170g Josper-grilled Wagyu patty, grilled poached bear, brie, sundries tomatoes & wild rocket.

Served with fries & coleslaw, the Simple Brie-Vine is indeed divine. You can select how well you want your beef to be cooked, and they choose the freshest and finest ingredients for you. The fries are crisp and golden brown, and the coleslaw is sweet to taste! My friend lamented that the fries look bigger in portion than the burger though, as if to say that the highlight of the dish seems to be the fries instead.

Cut through the beef and you can tell that the chef is really experienced. The plate is nothing but a chopping board, which may be rather challenging to eat if you're a messy eater. Still, Roadhouse provides a casual experience for the foodies, and if you desire an eatery which provides the ambience, great service and good food, Roadhouse is the way to go.

Recommended Dish(es):  Liquid cheeseburger, Simple brie-vine

Spending per head: Approximately $25(Dinner)

WHAT?! So affordable?!! That's my frens and my reaction when we went to eat this delicious free soup-refill bak kut teh which was near our youth church in Shine auditorium... each bowl cost about $5, AND WHAT'S MORE IT'S SOOO NEAR BUGIS, so it's like you know how youths always complain about how expensive the food is over there~~~ but it's not true, YOU JUST GOT TO HUNT for the good food! THE SERVICE is excellent, we always thought okay you know they talk about how nasty ah tiongs are but it's not true. They're always asking if we needed refill, ask us to take our time to choose from the menu, and there's free you tiao as well! YAY!

The last of the Mohicans Smile Jul 17, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre

A diminishing ethnic dish, this is by the Mohicans, not sure if it's a dialect but this cuisine is definitely the tastiest soup I've ever drank of and eaten of.

Located at Chinatown, it is a stall easy to spot due to its' endless long-queue regardless of the time.

Costing about $4.80, this dish have a LOT of ingredients in it, making the soup a rich base and the noodles extremely delicious. The vegetables are a healthy portion as well. Extremely tasty. MUST-TRY! All is just as good.

my favourite milkshake comes from once upon a milkshake smile

made with large scoops of ice-cream, milk and real oreo, their open-concept of the kitchen allows the customers to look at how they make the milkshake with a what-look-like shaver to blend the ingredients together. usually you don't have to do add-ons because it's just so delicious. very smooth and not very sweet, perffect for a hot day in Singapore!

prepared by well-known chef!

prepared by well-known chef!

i was with my brother (sadly) at this restaurant and because Equarius is not fully-opened yet it has little people. with beautiful purple lights and great ambience, this is definitely THE place to go for your anniversaries or whatever romantic date that you want to plan for your other partner.

Great food, great service, great people, great night !

i don't really know what the dishes are because it's with the hotel-stay package, the chef would explain to you the kind of sauce that he use. anyway there are different types of dining experiences (you can choose to sit int he hotel lobby) or just go into the room, maybe i had more flexibility of choice since there were lesser people.

get some wine, beer, cocktail or mocktail. drink to your fill!

the fish in the picture taste SOOOOOO good, i don't know what it's called but you have to order it. show them the picture.

Spending per head: Approximately $30(Dinner)
