My occasion visits to Provence at its various outlets often see me over at trying different types of bread, because basically every piece just looks so good.

I tired the Milk Pan, it looks like a fluffy cupcake bread with a swirl design on top. I bit into the soft dough and what revealed inside turned out to be custard! In fact, vanilla milk custard, which I really enjoyed.

Priced at a reasonable tag too, less than $2.

Gong Cha. Smile Jun 29, 2011

This bubble tea store is always crowded with people, especially during lunch and dinner hours.

Lucky for me, I was there during the off-peak period and I didn't have to queue. I got myself a green tea with white pearls, 50% sugar. It was just nice and good. The tea aroma was rich and a quick fix to my thirst!

I have a friend who told me not to order bubble from Gong Cha at this outlet as she once did and the staff gave her a cup with 70% ice cubes, all she got was a few mouthfuls. At least that didn't happen to me, maybe that was just a bad experience for her.

Dessert Story Smile Jun 29, 2011

It was my first time trying out dessert at this stall as I'll usually resort to ice-cream or frozen yoghurt for desserts.

They serve both hot and cold desserts but I went for the former. I bought a takeaway as there wasn't any seat available. It was a Chinese-style water chestnut dessert with ginkgo nuts. It tasted pretty good, not too sweet and felt healthy, haha.

I'd like to try their assorted shaved ice next time.

Ikea Tuesdays. Smile Jun 29, 2011

Who doesn't love Ikea Swedish food? The meat balls are definitely to die for.

A mixture of pork and beef with boiled potatoes. The meat balls sauce as well as cranberry jam absolutely adds a bonus.

Apart from their signature dish, I also ordered 6 chicken wings, a kid's fish nuggets with fries meal, chocolate mousse and a daim cake. This was shared among 3 people including myself, very satisfying especially for hungry beings.

Celebrated my friend's 22nd birthday dinner here! Better yet, he was really generous that the whole dinner was on him.

We had French fries at our appetizer, one serving shared among 4. Followed by which, we personally picked what we wanted to have. I chose the steak sandwich that sounded really good on the menu. Their menus do not have any visual photos by the way, purely words in black and white.

And it did, the steak sandwich arrived smelling mouth-watering. I was excited before I even tasted my first bite. I also got to choose my doneness at medium.

Apparently, my dish also came with French fries but being hungry, I finished my own share too. The beef was really tender!

An item to consider ordering.
