The best laksa yong tau foo Smile Sep 21, 2011

Laksa Yong Tau Foo

Laksa Yong Tau Foo

This is really the best laksa Yong Tau Foo that I have ever tried and the best dish in the canteen. It is cheap and the gravy is really very delicious. They give you just enough gravy to fill up your noodles and ingredients. This shows how popular their laksa is and how they want to ensure no wastage! Although the queue is long most of the time, it is worth waiting as the noodles are simply slurping good. The noodles are reasonably given and are cooked to the right texture. They have quite a variety of items to pick from.

I love the drive through at this Mcdonald's! It makes getting food and my favourite Mcdonald's desserts so much easier! (: It was a swift process to get the desserts as we drove through. Everyone at all three stations (order, pay the money, get your food) was very polite and it made me so happy! Most importantly, the vanilla cone I ordered was so yummy! The ice cream's texture was so perfect- not too watery. The cone was really crunchy and it was a great compliment to the vanilla ice cream. I love Mcdonald's Vanilla cone! smile

A huge ball of ice cream Smile Aug 20, 2011

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

I first read about Cold stone creamery in the 8days magazine and have been yearning to visit it because I wanted to see their cool way of serving ice cream. I finally made a visit to the cafe that day with a few of my good friends. The cafe was not crowded and there was ample space to eat in. I ordered their signature special at $5.50 and topped up a dollar for the waffle at the bottom. The ball of ice cream was huge= satisfying! I chose strawberry cheesecake and I saw the whole process by which my ice cream was made. The chunk of ice cream was chopped up and whole strawberries and raspberries were put into the middle before the server began to start chopping again. In the end she rolled everything up into a ball before throwing the ball into the air and it landed straight into my cup! smile A very fascinating performance. I love the ice cream, it was really flavorful with the combination of cheesecake flavour and natural sour flavour from the berries. I will visit the creamery again! smile

Yummy Catered Food  Smile Jun 17, 2011

Categories : Hawker Centre

We catered food from Qiji for Fathers' Day Dinner. There is free delivery if you order for at least 10 people which is really very reasonable. We ordered DIY popiah and mee siam. Everything was included- the food and the utensils too. All we had to do was make hot the sauce and turnip so that the food was warmer! So convenient. Most importantly, the food was great. There was a variety of ingredients for popiah- prawns, eggs, bean sprouts, turnip, lettuce. The popiah skin was thick so we did not have much trouble making a decent looking popiah as the ingredients did not spill out. (: The mee siam sauce was very yummy. It was spicy and a little more sour than others, however, that made it more tasty. The caterer is halal so it is suitable for Muslims too! bowl

Hot Brownie with Ice Cream Smile Apr 13, 2012

Categories : Café | Ice Cream and Gelato

It was a hot sunny afternoon at Haji Lane shopping! Popped into this shop which serves ice cream as a side business with a portion of the shop set aside with chairs and tables. They serve desserts like fudge cakes and brownies. I ordered a brownie with ice cream on top. It was really mouth watering! smile The brownie was re-heated in the microwave oven and there was melted chocolate all around. Eaten together with the ice cream, the hot cold sweet combination was really perfect!
