Back to this "85 market" in Bedok for dinner on a weekend.

Long queue as expected at the stall. The one that sells ONLY soup based mince pork noodle.

The order came about 20mins later. I am totally impressed with the taste of the clear soup. It must have been prep with lotsa genuine ingredients.

The noodle is springy and not so commonly found in regular noodle stalls. With matches very well with the pork balls (quite many of them as you can see from the photo for a $3 a bowl)

The red chilli adds flavor to the tasty soup.

OVerall definitely worth the wait , will be back for more if around the area again.

We came across this stall on a weekend lunch.

Noting that there is no queue, we thought there is not much to expect. Since we are craving for some local treats to fill our stomachs, we decided to give this stall a try.

The carrot cake is sold in $3,4,5 in both white or black (dark soya sauce) versions. We ordered the black one today.

Uncle fried the carrot cake on the spot. From the way he handle the wok, we start to have some raised hope for a nice treat.

The owner presented the dish with abundant spring onion garnish.

The carrot cake is soft and combined perfectly with the egg. The flavorful dark sauce tasted just right, not too salty, not too sweet.

Verdict: Surprisingly delicious.

I am a zi char lover.
Came to this stall and decided to try their tomato fired rice on the menu.

Of cos the dishes are cooked upon order. so it is fresh from the wok!
Tomato brings out a tinge of sour and sweetness in the fried rice with reasonable amount of ingredients, including prawns

.

The rice is firm and not soft and mashed.
The free soup is different every day and boiled with genuine ingredients. thumbs up

Been craving for some sourish food, thai is the choice today.

I ordered the phad thai set which comes with phad thai, green mango salad, tom yam soup. all for less than SGD6!~

the phad thai is freshly cooked with abundant ingredients. It has a sweetish taste which isnt too over. coupled with the given dried chilli and peanut garnish. YUMMY!

the green mango salad is rather sour i would say but still tasty and appetizing.
The tom yam soup looks innocently clear but is actually rather spicy. the taste is not bad but also not fantastic.

I tried their green curry set on another occasion. the curry is blend and not as good as others which I had tried. Portion is also on the small side.

First visit at this outlet in PS.
Was there during weekday lunch, 1215pm, still plenty of seats. however the seats filled up fast.

I ordered the steak with spaghetti today , with the lunch special upgrade +$2.50.

I wanted my steak to be medium cooked, but the meat looks rather red inside and i thought it looks perhaps more to medium rare. The taste is still good despite that and with the spag and fresh greens make up a complete decent meal.

The upgrade is for a soup with bread and a drink. We had tomato soup today. yummy! slightly sour, very appetizing.
The lime juice that i opted for is a tat too sour for me.

Overall a busy lunch place with quality yet affordable western food.
