Ice Kachang Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : Food Court

This shopping mall was really crowded and after a long shopping walk here, I decided to settle down in this food court to enjoy a bowl of cooling dessert.

Had bought the ice kachang from this dessert and drink stall.  The price of $4 is quite high but fortunately is nice and yummy. The stall helper is friendly and with my request for extra evaporated milk for my dessert, she without any question asked has assisted with my request.

Nicely made and very colourful, love the brown sugar and pandan taste base on the brown and green colouring topped on it.  The cooked sweet corns are flavourful as well.  Inside is also filled with generous amount of mashed red beans and jelly cubes that make this dessert really appetizing and worth the price.  This food court is big and crowded, but glad I managed to grab a seat here in less than 2 minutes.

Yong Tau Foo Soup Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Food Court

Here at this food court at Changi city point is very spacious and comfortable, with sufficient seats to cater for everyone.

Have check out the yong tau foo from this stall and was really glad that I have tried it.  THe stall helper is very friendly and helpful.  For the price of $6.50, is quite affordable.  I have ordered some pieces of bittergourd with fish paste and also the red capscium with fish paste, which both are equally fresh and crunchy and the fish paste is also smooth and chewy.  Soup base is sweet and filled with the natural goodness from the soya bean cooked in it.

The deepfried items are separated from the soup which ensure its crispyness and they are crispy and fresh and not too salty.  The sweet sauce and chilli sauce are both thick and flavourful as well.

Red Velvet LogCake Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : English

I have bought a whole  Red Velvet log cake for my family gathering.  For the price of $29.80, is consider reasonable.  This new opened bakery shop is neat and clean, and the boss cum chef here is very friendly and warm in service.

Red velvet cake has very nice, firm and soft sponge cake that almost like melt in your mouth when you eat it.  The generous amount of thick cheese cream that are spread inside is very flavourful and not too sweet.  One slice is never enough for me.  Great to have it with a cup of tea or coffee, and is well like by my family members, irregardless the older ones or the younger ones.

This Chinese restaurant is very comfortable and spacious, however it seen like the business was not really that good here.  I decided to buy a simple snack to try since I am waiting for my uncle at the airport to arrive in Singapore.

Have bought the char siew pau to try, which is merely $0.90 per piece.  The service uncle over at the counter is quite helpful and polite.  The pau texture is firm and moist, which is quite chewy and is served hot as well.

Love the pork char siew meat inside which is very sweet and tasty, the juicy pork meat is very tender and chewy, and goes very well with the pau.  Flavourful and is defnitely a snack which is suitable at all times of the day.

Snacking Time! Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : Taiwanese

This is my favorite snack shop whenever I feel like grabbing some simple finger foods whenever I feel like snacking.  This stall is clean and neat, and service here is also quite friendly and prompt in taking orders.

I have ordered their fried chicken wings which cost $2.90 for 2 pieces.  The chicken wings are only deep fried upon order so you will be sure to be served with really fresh and hot chicken wings which are juicy and tender.  Moreover the outer layer is very crispy and not too oily as well.  Without dipping any sauce, it tastes great!

As for the fries, they are cut straight from the potato so is really firm in texture and flavourful.  It is not too salty and slight crunchiness can be obtained when you munch it.   Yummy snacks!
