Octopus tako valls Smile Mar 31, 2014
Categories : Japanese

This tako balls snack kiosk is one of the populat stall in this shoppung mall, always with long queue.  Fortunately there is no long queue today and in less than 2 minutes I managed to get the food here.

the counter service boy is friendly and fast in service.  The stall is clean and neat as well.  For the price of $2.50 , I am able to get 3 balla of octopus flavour.  The texture of the outer layer is moist and fragrant and topped with the dried sotong is very flavourful.  The sotong meat inside is very chewy and fresh too.

Zero Zero OK Mar 31, 2014

Have walked in to this restaurant to pamper myself for a fine dining experience in this posh restaurant.  THe restaurant is very spaciuos and comfortable. Service here is very polite and smilely.

I have ordered their cream of pumpkin at $10 and barberqued pork ribs at $22.  Cream of pumpkin was nicely desplace on the designer's bowl, but I still prefer that the portion could have been more.  Pumpkin flavour is sweet and flavourful but thought the soup base could have been thicker.

As for the pork ribs, is simply delicious!  Barberqued till really well cooked and giving the pork rib that really juicy and tender texture.  The thick barberqued sauce used is very appetizing and blend in really well with the pork meat.   Yummy!

Yong Tau Foo Soup Smile Mar 30, 2014
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Food Court

Here at this food court at Changi city point is very spacious and comfortable, with sufficient seats to cater for everyone.

Have check out the yong tau foo from this stall and was really glad that I have tried it.  THe stall helper is very friendly and helpful.  For the price of $6.50, is quite affordable.  I have ordered some pieces of bittergourd with fish paste and also the red capscium with fish paste, which both are equally fresh and crunchy and the fish paste is also smooth and chewy.  Soup base is sweet and filled with the natural goodness from the soya bean cooked in it.

The deepfried items are separated from the soup which ensure its crispyness and they are crispy and fresh and not too salty.  The sweet sauce and chilli sauce are both thick and flavourful as well.

Local Laksa Cry Mar 30, 2014
Categories : Singaporean | Noodles

This Eat. outlet at Bedok is certainly new, cooling and comfortable.  We nice cosy seating and furnishings.  The service is also very friendly and fast as well.

Have saw the counter staff cooking the laksa gravy and was craving for it and had bought it to try.  For the price of $4.30, the portion is consider quite reasonable.  However after I have tasted it, I was really disappointed.

The laksa gravy is thin and flavourful at all.  It is not spicy and not creamy as well.  The rice noodles are chewy but the beansprouts since to be too little portion inside it.  Tau pok which is the fried bean curd cubes are too dry and hard, taste old.  Only the cockles are fresh but are very small.  Wasn't that impressive.

Fried Kway Teow Cry Mar 30, 2014   (Related Review)
Categories : Noodles

Many friends have been telling me that the fried kway teow from this Yong Huat stall is very delicious, so decided to check it out.

This coffee shop is comfortable as is quite windy and seats are quite comfortable as well.  The chef uncle is very friendly when I approached him for my order.  In less than 10 minutes, my fried kway teow is served to my table. For the price of $4, the portion is reasonable.

However I disagree with my friend that the kway teow here is delicious.  The kway teow, which is the main lead for this dish, is soggy and too soft easily breakable.  Not much ingredients can be found in this local delight and even the cockles are too small to be able to locate it in this dish.  It is also too oily and salty.  Disappointing.
