Steamboat buffet lunch Smile Mar 30, 2014

Steamboat at this Japanese restaurant is really fun and enjoyable!  Newly opened at Bedok point, here is definitely super clean and decoration is young and bright.

Service staffs here are polite and friendly too.  My friends and I have came here for the lunch buffet which is priced at $17.90++.  Two soup bases for me to choose, which my favorite is the chicken soup base. Is flavourful and the mild chicken flavour is tasty and easy for everyone to taste.

Besides, I also enjoy the deep fried cheese tofu which is chewy and the melt cheese inside is appetizing and blend in really well with the tofu.   The fresh mushroom and crunchy vegetables make this steamboat very nutritional and good for health. Would definitely recommend this to my friends who have not yet try it.

Came to this Japanese restaurant for my late lunch and glad that there isn't any long queue today since I came here at really odd hours. The restaurant is nice and cosy, with very bright and clean environment.

Service here is fast and friendly too. Have bought the Hotate Nabe Wazen ($16.90) to eat, which comprice of lots of vegetables and fresh juicy fat scallops and japanese thick transparent rice noodles.  The soup base is sweet and flavourful.  The salmon sashimi is super fresh and chewy. As for the steamed egg is very soft and moist, with some chicken meat, crab meat inside that make it sweet and tasty.

Comes to the coke float ($4.90) , is gassy and love the smooth vanilla ice cream topped on it that is very appetizing and refreshing!

Coffee & snacks Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : Coffeeshop | Juices

Bought a packet of coffee and some bread and cake back home to eat.  This coffee stall is neat and clean, and love those colourful display outside here.

The counter lady is quite friendly and fast in service.  For my packet of coffee is at $1.10 which is the usual price for most of the coffee shop.  The coffee aroma is strong and slightly bitter in taste.  Condensed milk was not much inside which is still quite flavourful and not too sweet.

The curry bun and also the butter cake also priced at 60 cents each, which is very cheap.  The bun is moist and soft, with not too spicy curry potato filling in it, which is delicious.  Butter cake is also equally moist and soft, and the butter flavour is alright and portion was quite big as well.  For a total of $2.30 spending for these 3 items, is reasonable and affordable.

Sweet Potato Fritter Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : Singaporean Chinese

My very sweet and lovely colleague has bought me a sweet potato fritter from this Deli Snacks outlet.  A pleasant surprise and really make my day a happy one.

This big round piece of fried fritter not just only very crispy on the outer layer, inside is filled with thinnly cut sweet potato that is soft and easy to chewy.  It is not too oily and very appetizing.  Have it with a cup of hot or cold beverages will taste equally great!

For the price of 80 cents per piece, this is definitely consider cheap and affordable.  Heard from my friend the stall also selling other fried fritters which includes banana and yam.

Economic Bee Hoon Smile Mar 30, 2014

Categories : Coffeeshop

Whenever I feel like saving some money, this Economic Bee Hoon stall is one of my favourite choice.

Service was alright but not rude, and they are really fast in their service.  Stall is quite big but quite dirty and untidy.  Have bought a package of their white bee hoon for only $1.00, which is super cheap.

Even though is not cooked with dark soy sauce, this white version taste equally delicious.   Bee hoon is chewy and portion is generous.  The chef is also kind enough to add some shredded cabbage and carrot to this main course which enhance the colour and also added some nutritional value to this dish.
