Awesome Coffee N Cakes @ Cartel Smile Apr 24, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Steaks and Grills | Kids-Friendly

Used to patronize cartel for their pork ribs and pasta only and during that time (when they still warm free flow of bread), we love to dip the warm bread in creamy pasta sauce. Seems that the food standard dropped and main course doesn't taste as wow as they used to be.

Heard from a fren that cartel has some new coffee on the menu and we decided to chill out over coffee and cakes. All cakes are on 50% discount after 9pm,

Managed to step into this cafe 15mins b4 they close for the nite. I'm in need of caffeine to keep me awake. The place looks cosy and the dessert looks tempting. The cafe is packed with people even when it's near closing time. we were lucky we managed to get a table without reservations.smile

I most impressed by their great service. We were warmly greeted by the service crew, being led to our seats, well recommendation and specific introduction of the place and desserts. It's very to find such great friendly service in Singapore nowadays. Will definitely come back for more, be it for food or for good service! lolz...

! of my fren has been recommending bout the buffet lunch and dinner which Himawari Japanese Restaurant serve.
well, seems like everyone been commenting so much about it and i decided to check it out.

Upon stepping into the restaurant, it gives a neat and tidy cosy feeling. Plenty of Japanese customers patronize this restaurant!

Menu

Wow... the beef and thinly sliced with layers of fats evenly spread across the meat.

A shabu shabu pot as well.

I dun usually eat sashimi but this is reali GOOD! Fresh and sweet, generous serving with thick slices of salmon and sword fish. Every mouthful is great!

Another of my favourite~ Cream corn croquette. the best which i ever come across so far!

Another recommended dishes! Stir fry pork with onions. I can have 2 bowls of white rice with it! lolz...

Overall verdict: Food is fresh and great, a variety of food, cheap and good. Service staff are friendly and we didnt wait too long for the food to be serve. I will definitely come back for more!

Hong Kong Dessert OK Dec 08, 2013
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Desserts and Cakes

Went there for shopping with a fren and her nephew. And after shopping for toys, my fren had crave for Chinese dessert. We decided to drop by this outlet to enjoy some yummy dessert.

I ordered a black glutinous rice dessert. Nice to look at and i feel that it would taste even better if it's warm so that the coconut ice-cream would melt.

Peanut and black sesame paste~ yummy!
Texture is smooth and it's not too sweet. Love it! smile

Categories : Shanghainese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

Guotie Guotie Guotie...this stall in Kovan market opened for quite awhile and I have yet to tried their food. Heard from a colleague that their serving portion is quote generous for their noodle dis (la mian)

Eating these few guotie is enough for lunch as it comprises of carbohydrates and proteins. It would taste even better if it was pan fried longer till crispy and brown.
