Yogurt Smile Jun 30, 2011

Being a fan of yogurt, I have tried all sorts of yogurt. But it wasn't till I found Red Mango that it truly hit the spot. the yogurt from red Mango is fat free and is made from milk solids. Their yogurt is soft and melts in the mouth. They change their flavours everyday and one of my personal favourite flavour is their mixed berry flavour on Wednesdays. The yogurt that I've tasted before are not as soft as Red Mango's. Also Red Mango has something called the yogurt museli where you are able to choose 2 dried toppings and a fruit together in a cup with the yogurt. That combination is absolutely delicious and satisfying.

Being in the vicinity of Novena, we walked around searching for a good and unique place to eat. And we happened to chance upon nydc. I haven't seen nydc cafe for awhile and they had promotions for students to lunch there at a realtively cheap price. Looking at the attractive food on the menu, we could not resist but to walk in to have lunch.

After browsing through the menu we ordered a chicken cutlet kind of thing and creamy prawn pasta for me. We also ordered a side dish of butter mushrooms that looked great. When the food arrived, we knew we had not made a wrong choice. the food was absolutely delicious! It was really great and delicious. The mushrooms were juicy and filled with the awesome secent of butter. I had not had such a great meal in awhile.

Bufffet! Smile Jun 30, 2011

One of my favourite places to go for a buffet is at Sakura International Buffet! They have a wide variety and combination of dishes for you to choose from. There's even roast duck and laska and herbal chicken soup! They also have a wide spread of sushi and sashimi.

I love sushi and sashimi but my boyfriend doesn't. As difficult as it is to cater to two differnt tastes, Sakura has managed to do it well. When we go there, I'll spam the sashimi while by boyfriend gets to enjoy his terriyaki chicken chop. They also have delicious oyster with cheese and also vegetable dishes for the health conscious. A good place to go indeed!

Jap food! OK Jun 29, 2011

After wandering around Nex shopping mall for quite some time, me and a couple of friends decided to stop at Ajisen Gourment Town to eat ramen! The town is made up of three different ramen restaurants. And it was a really convenient to gather the ramen stalls and place them all in the same area. the menu consisted of a compilation of dishes from the three stalls.

After browsing through the menu for quite a while, trying to decide which restaurant to order from, we finally made our choices. We also ordered our favourite side dish of all time. The chuka hotate. Or in other words, scallop.

The ramen was delicious. The soup was really tasty and so was the japanese char siew found in the ramen. It was a great choice to eat there!

Sakae sushi! Smile Jun 29, 2011

The Maybank credit card enables diners to eat at Sakae at a price 1 for 1. Having just received the card, me and a couple of friemds decided to make use of the promotion. We decided to have our buffet lunch at Hougang Festival Mall. The place was quiet and peaceful.

We immediately tucked in to their wide array of sushi. W each had a free red plate and a pink. Being sashimi lovers, we ordered the fresh salmon sashimi as our red plate. Each slice of sashimi was thick and tender. Every bite was delicious! One of my favourite sushi at Sakae was their salmon avocado sushi. This unique combination was really mouth watering! They used raw salmon mixed together with avocado to bring about a refreshing a delicious tasting sushi. Other dishes included edamame, chawanushi and a whole wide variety of tasty sushi!

Spending per head: Approximately $12
