Yummy beef noodle lunch Smile Sep 20, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hainanese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

This is definitely one of the best beef noodle in town! Beef is very tender, juicy and soup base very tasty. Combined with the salty vegetables and lime given, it's just perfect. As today is also a rainy day, so a pipping hot bowl of yummy beef noodle soup really made my day! smile

They do sell soup and dry version of just the beef meat or beef balls or combination of beef meat + beef balls noodles @ S$3, S$4, S$5. There's also a choice of beehoon and kuay teow for noodles too! Personally i feel it's better than the famous Hock Lam Beef Noodle.

Try to avoid 12-2pm lunch time, if not the queue is normally quite long and waiting time can sometimes be up to 20minutes!

Hand made curry puffs OK Sep 18, 2011
Categories : Bakery

This is sardine curry puff from pie connection. As their signboard suggested, it's indeed freshly traditionally made curry puffs. The sardine chunks according to the seller is fried with onions and chilli padi which give it a very spicy stinge. Also the puff is stuffed not only with sardine chunks but with potatoes n egg too. Filling is fresh however i think the puff skin is not crispy enough.

They are having promotion whereby if you buy 5 curry puffs, they will give you one free.

The seller is quite friendly and will definitely come back to try other puffs!

Good prawn noodle soup breakfast Smile Sep 18, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre

This stall sells fried prawn noodle and soup prawn noodle as well.

Ordered their prawn noodle soup. Soup base is good and tasty with lots of fried pork lard too! which made it so fragrant. But have to be mindful that it's sinful too! smile I guess all tasty and nice food is sinful afterall...For a S$3 per bowl, i would say they give quite a generous portion of prawn and pork slice. The prawns are very fresh too.

Had a very satified and good breakfast! smile

Pandan cake from Tina Sim OK Sep 18, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery | Hawker Centre

This stall is a home made pastry specialists and sells not only cakes but also donuts, pudding, rainbow dessert and others

For cake rolls they have a wide choice like fresh durian, fresh mango, fresh strawberry, blueberry, mixed berries, orea chocolate, apple cinnamon, banana chocolate, pandan fudge and chocolate fudge all priced at S$7.50 per roll.

Tried their pandan fudge cake roll today. The pandan filling in between the cake in my opinion doesn't taste as good as the pandan roll from Rich and Good. Perhaps it's not as fresh. Sweetness level is just nice for me. Will try their other cakes and pastry next time!

They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

Disappointing dessert :( Cry Sep 18, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Desserts and Cakes

This stall sells not only dessert, but HK style noodles and snacks as well. Went there to try their dessert and to my disappointment, it's nowhere near any good Hong Kong dessert!

Their peanut paste is quite diluted and watery. There's also bits n pieces of starch i think...which i initially thought was peanut. But it was not! sad

SErvice is no good as well. Although it's not full house, but nobody come to us to serve us! and i have to wave for them to come over only to know that we have to go to cashier to place our order and pay before they will serve us! They should have inform customer beforehand i feel.

Don't think i'll have 2nd visit to this place.
