Great Thai Food In The City Smile Jun 30, 2011

Categories : Thai | Singaporean Chinese | Restaurant

Whenever someone ask for a recommendation of a Thai Restaurant, the first on the list would be Yhingthai! This is my fav Thai haunt since I started working and discovered it near the office!

I love every single dish this place has to offer.. the fishcakes, stuffed chicken wings, otah, olive rice, pineapple rice, tom yam soup, fish with mango sauce.. and the list goes on... Every dish here is worth a try!!!

Recommended Dish(es):  90% of the menu!

Congee @ it's best Smile Jun 28, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

It's funny how some people only orders certain dishes in certain restaurants and the same goes for me when I dine at Crystal Jade Branches.

I love coming here mainly for their congees and normally order their century egg or sliced fish ones but I stumbled upon their sliced beef congee by chance one day when I wanted to try out something different.. What a great discovery - the congee was smooth as usual and the sliced beef was tender.. Great Comfort Food.

Great Sashimi Smile Jun 28, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Previously hidden in the corner at the basement of Parkway, they have recently moved into their new location 3 shops away from the old one.

There's a wide spread of sashimi and they have it in diff cuts and sizes for you to choose from, depending on your fancies of the day. Not a big fan of Tofu, I actually like the one they serve here and I love the clam soup too (unfortunately, they don't have this on a daily basis! )

Tim Sum at East Coast Smile Jun 28, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Restaurant | Seafood | Kids-Friendly

Good place for Tim Sum after a morning walk on weekends at East Coast. I love to come here to Yum Cha in the mornings with family. The Tim Sum is fresh and if you go early, there's an early bird discount and not as crowded as normal hours.

My fav dish at this restaurant would be the Seafood Soup in Melon!

Fried Cod Fish Smile Jun 25, 2011
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Coffeeshop | Seafood

The coffeeshop didn't look appealing and a place I think I would patronise often. I was brought there by frens who live nearby and one evening, they wanted to do a quick dinner near their house. I left the ordering to them and boy, I was surprised at what was to follow.

The roast chicken is so good and I was told you have to call and order as it runs out very quickly. It was juicy, the meat was tender and it was not oily. The roast chicken skin was really crispy too! The fried cod fish was simply AWESOME!!!!! Since that day, these 2 dishes have become a staple and the coffeeshop a regular dinner place with the family..

Recommended Dish(es):  Fried Cod Fish, Roast Chicken (Need to call and check if they have it on day of dinner), Assam Fish, 3 kinds of eggs with Spinach
