Came here 2 days ago for dinner. They sell kway chap and duck rice, they also have kway chap duck set for $6. We just had kway chap and duck rice
Kway chap is nice, well marinated, not very salty. As for duck rice, the duck meat is soft and chewy but i don't like the rice. The cinnamon taste was too strong,it would be great for cinnamon lovers. The rice range quite average, dinner time very long queue, queued for 10-15mins.

Steamed Gourmet - Kopitiam Cry Dec 11, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Food Court

I came here yesterday with my mum for dinner,we plan to go for play kitchen but saw this new open stall so try try, it seemed healthy as it's steam, boiled. We had brown rice 0.80cent.

Steamed sliced fish with assam sauce $5.50 and seasonal vegetable with special sauce for $3.50.

The brown rice tasted quite weird, not nice and very sticky. Assam fish not very tasty, the vegetable was a bit expensive, the special sauce tasted so bitter, vegetable was so hard to chew, just 2 side dishes and rice with soup cost $10.60. It was expensive, not worth it.

I'm not a fan of thai food but my friend like so accompany her here to try. We had pineapple rice for $13.90, the pineapple rice was very flavourful, the floss on top was nice, prawn was huge and very fresh, love it. The chicken wing 3pcs cost $10.90 which I feel a bit expensive but tasted not bad. The waiting time very fast as there's no queue
service ok, overall not bad, might go back try again.

Boon Tong Kee 文東記 OK Dec 07, 2013

Categories : Hainanese | Restaurant | Chicken Rice

My dad is a fan of Boon Tong Kee, so we often go eat. I don't really like it but this time I find that it tasted not bad. The chicken this time was very tender, very smooth, love it. Boon tong kee chicken rice always come with a meat ball and some sour vegetables. It is super sour for me, but feel quite refreshing after having oily rice. The queue can be very long during peak hour, service is okay.
