Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

Brought a bowl of lor mee from this famous stall at the tiong bahru market. Long queue can be seen during breakfast hours and be prepared to queue. This bowl of lor mee includes ingredients like the meat dumplings, fishcake and the deep fried fish. Ingredients used are fresh and sufficently cooked. As for the gravy, it has sufficient thickness, well seasoned and goes well with the ingredients and the noodles. The noodles is well cooked and has a soft texture. Price is reasonable at $2.50 per bowl.

Tidbits OK Sep 09, 2012

Walk past this shop at northpoint and decided to take a look on what they sell. After looking around, I have decided to buy the old time biscuit and a packet of the vegetable crackers. The old time biscuit is quite common found in some bakery shops and different colours are used to decorate the biscuit. As for the taste wise, it has a crispy and crunchy texture, but the biscuit is not that fragrance as compared to other stall. The vegetable crackers is well cooked, has a very crispy texture, not very oily and taste wise has a light tapioca flavour. Price at $2 per packet.

Brought a bowl of the ramen with the lor mee gravy for lunch.
This bowl of ramen has a nice and appealing presentation, topped with chopped yan sui. The gravy is very similiar to the lor mee gravy, has sufficient thickness and is well seasoned. As for the ramen, it is well cooked and a soft and QQ texture. Several pieces of deep fried fish and peanuts are also included in this bowl of ramen. The deep fried fish does not has a crispy texture, but is well seasoned and the fish used is quite fresh. Overall, just a normal ramen at a price of $3 per bowl.

Colourful cupcake OK Sep 06, 2012

Brought a packet of the colourful cupcake from this bakery shop as a good choice for breakfast.
The cupcakes comes in five different colours, has a nice shape and has a soft and spongy texture. For the taste wise, the cupcake must be dipped into the orange coloured sugar which comes together with the cupcake as the cupcake has a bland taste. The cupcake still taste good even without dipping into the orange sugar. Each packet cost $2.50.

Snackers OK Sep 06, 2012

Brought a set of the KFC star prawn snackers for high tea which includes a box of the fries with the star shaped prawn nuggets and a cup of the soft drinks. Both the fries and the star shapped prawn nuggets are very well deep fried, has a nice golden brown colour and a crispy texture. For the prawn nuggets, it has a prawn fillings with slight seasoning, taste quite unique and goes well if dipped in the chili sauce. Lastly, the fries is still warm when eaten and is sufficiently seasoned and is not too salty. Price at $3.95 for a set with different types of snackers to choose from.
