Traditional pastry OK Aug 23, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre

Brought a couple of the traditonal pastry which resemble like a cone with the pastry cream in it and the coconut tart.
The pastry with look like a cone with pastry cream in it is seldom found in pastry shop nowaday. With a crispy pastry skin, light buttery taste and the mild sweet pastry cream in it. As for the coconut tart, it has a nice golden brown colour on the top, but taste a bit dry and contain the desicated coconut in the tart itself and sweetness wise is not too sweet.

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hawker Centre | Dim Sum

Brought a couple of the pau and dim sum from this stall which includes the meat pau, dou sar pau, egg pau, egg tart and many more. Their pau are freshly made daily and each small pau cost only 80 cents. Their skin of the pau is not too thick, has a soft texture with sufficient fillings added in it. Their signature pau would be the egg pau which the skin is made from egg and with the char siew fillings in it. As for their egg tart, the pastry tart is crispy and the egg custard is soft and not too watery and not too sweet as well. Price for the egg tart cost 80 cents each and the quailty is not bad too.

Laksa OK Aug 23, 2012

Walk past this stall during lunch and saw that they are selling a bowl of laksa for just $1.80 and decided to go for a try. With a price of $1.80, all you get in a bowl of laksa is just the thick bee hoon, been sprout and the tau pok. As for the gravy wise, it has a light coconut taste and a mild spicy flavour. The been hoon is well cooked and has a soft texture. Lastly, the tau is equally cut and it absorb the juice of the gravy. Overall, just a normal laksa and the price is quite reasonable.

Brought a cup of the soya bean with grass jelly and a cup of the sugar cane juice.
The soya bean with grass jelly drink has a stronger soya bean taste although a generous amount of the grass jelly is added, sweetness level wise is not too sweet, just nice and taste refreshing. As for the sugar cane juice, it also has a refreshing taste, has a nice sugar cane aroma and it is not too diluted. Price wise is quite reasonable and the drink taste good.

Subway  OK Aug 20, 2012

Brought a six inch subway club with the honey oat bread.
The subway club consist of the main ingredients which includes sliced turkey breast, sliced roasted beef and sliced ham. With the addition of the cabbage, tomato and pickles, it produce a crunchy texture and on top of that, it has a well combination of meat and vegetable. I personally thick that the turkey breast, roasted beef and the ham are sliced too thin. The bread wise is well baked and has a soft texture.
