Categories : Coffeeshop

Brought a plate of the mixed vegetable rice for lunch which includes the hong shao chicken, bitter ground and the sliced potato. Firstly, the hong shao chicken is well seasoned, nice hong shao flavour, well cooked as the chicken has a soft and tender texture. As for the bitter ground, it is equally sliced, has the same thickness, sufficiently cooked, soft texture and it's not too bitter in taste. Lastly, the sliced potato is cooked in a slight sweet sauce, potato has a soft texture, not overcooked and goes well with the rice.

Brought a bowl of the ban mian for lunch.
The noodle is well made, equally cut and have the same thickness. As for the mince meat, it is sufficiently cooked, has a tender texture but is a bit small in sizes. As for the soup wise, it is light and has a light chicken bone taste. Not much of the vegetable is given and it's a bit overcooked. Service wise is acceptable, waiting time is not too long. It is available is two prices at $2.50 and $3.

Mixed Rice  OK Aug 14, 2012

Categories : Food Court

Brought a plate of the mixed rice as they have a wide variety of food to choose from. In the end, from the wide variety of food, I have chosen the sweet and sour pork, stir fried brinjal and the stir fried tofu. Firstly, the sweet and sour pork is coated with a thin layer of the sauce and the sweet and sour taste is not too strong. The pork is well cooked, has a silght crispy texture, soft and tender on the inside. As for the stir fried brinjal, seasoning wise not that sufficient as the brinjal taste a bit bland and oily and the brinjal is not overcooked and has certain crunchy texture in it. Lastly, the stir fried tofu is cut into equally size, well cooked and sufficient seasoning is added for the gravy.

Pork Claypot OK Aug 14, 2012

Brought a bowl of the pork claypot for lunch.
Presentation wise not that appealing, for the taste wise, the pork is well marinated, thinly sliced, has a soft and tender texture and a large portion of the pork was given. As for the black sauce that is drizzle on the rice, it is a bit too salty and the sauce given was a bit too much as the rice at the bottom of the bowl is soak in the sauce itself. I would prefer that they can allow the customer to added the amount of the black sauce to their own preference. Lastly, not much of the vegetable is given and the vegetable itself is a bit overcooked.

Dessert time OK Aug 14, 2012

Brought a bowl of a fruit dessert that consist of honeydew, mango and strawberry with sago toppings. The fruits use are fresh and sweet, the sago are well cooked and go well with the fruits. The dessert is quite bland as no sugar syrup is added nor any evaporated milk. We can only taste the original sweetness of the fruit itself. Other than selling dessert, this stall also sell longan drink, cendol drink which is one of the top beverage.
