Ang ku kueh Smile Sep 11, 2012
Categories : Malay

Brought a box of their ang ku kueh which consists of the dou sar and the peanut fillings.
The kueh is pretty well made, the skin is not too thick and has a soft and chewy texture. As for the fillings wise, the peanut has a fine texture with sugar added in it. Sweetness wise is not too sweet and is acceptable. Other than ang ku kueh, this stall also sell a variety of other kueh such as the soon kueh and several dumplings as well. Price start from 80 cents for a piece of ang ku kueh and $3.30 for a box of 5.

Swiss Roll Smile Sep 11, 2012

Categories : Fusion | Bakery

With the recommendation from friends, I have decided to buy a box of the durian flavoured swiss roll from the shop.
The swiss roll is well baked and rolled, has a soft and spongy texture with a light vanilla taste in it. As for the fillings, it is spread with the durian flesh and the fresh cream. The durian is fragrance, taste not too sweet nor bitter and goes well with the fresh cream and the swiss roll as well. Overall, quite a tasty swiss roll with real durian flesh in it and other flavours such as the chocolate, green tea, strawberry and many more flavours are made available. Price start from $6.50 per roll for normal flavours and $7.50 for the durian flavour.

Tandoori nann set Smile Sep 11, 2012

Categories : Indian | Food Court

Brought a set of the tandoori nann set during lunch hours at the food village kopitiam.
Presentation wise is very nice and appealing with different colours of sauce neatly arrange and the rice is also very colourful. A total of three sauces is given which have their own unique taste with the darkest colour taste quite similiar to the curry for the prata. As for the light browish sauce, it has a lighter curry taste than the previous one. As for the greenish colour sauce, it has a refreshing mint and lemon grass flavour. The tandoori chicken and the nann is made on the spot when ordered. The tandoori chicken is well marinated and seasoned, has a nice aroma and a soft and tender texture. As for the nann, it has a texture that is quite similiar to the prata and is more fragrance as well. Overall quite a tasty tandoori set but the price is a bit too high which cost $9.90 each.

Brought a bottle of the honey lemon herbal drink from this stall after lunch during a hot weather.
It has a light and refreshing taste, has a stronger honey taste than the lemon, not too sour and a light aromatic honey flavour. A piece of the lemon is also included in this bottle of herbal tea. Other than this honey lemon tea, this shop also sell up to around 8 different types of herbal tea that caters to different needs of the customer. Price starts from $1 depending on the type of herbal tea.

Cendol Smile Sep 09, 2012   (Related Review)

Brought a bowl of the cendol for dessert after lunch at chong pang market.
With a simple presentation, the taste of the cendol is actually quite nice and refreshing. This bowl of cendol has a nice and aromatic gula melaka and coconut milk taste. The ingredients for this bowl of cendol includes the green cendol jelly, cubed grass jelly, sago, attap seed and red bean. As for the sweetness level wise, it is not too sweet and not too diluted. With a price of $1.20, it is definietly worth the try and is value for money.
