Ordered a plate of 3 different types of meat which consists of the roasted pork, duck and char siew. I’m quite amazed with the roasted pork due to crispy skin and the very nice golden brown colour. Not only that, the texture is also very soft and tender and is not very oily. Next the roasted duck is well cooked, the skin is quite fragrance and goes well with the plum sauce. As for the char siew, it is well marinated and cooked and has a soft and tender texture as well. Apart from this plate of meat, I have also ordered the carrot cake, several dim sum and also their famous char siew bun. Overall, their standard and quality of the food has been maintained and price well is also quite reasonable. [Review from mobile]

Lao ban tao huay Smile Nov 10, 2013

I still remember that Lao Ban soya bean is a stall that I found that is very popular in selling tao huay few years back where long queue can be seen. Up till now, I am glad that after a few years Lao Ban soya bean has opened several outlets apart from their main branch at old airport road hawer centre. The quality of their almond flavoured tao huay still remains with the melt in the mouth sensation, a much soft and smooth texture compared to the traditional tao huay and a very aromatic almond flavour. Apart from selling tao huay, Lao ban soya bean has also started to sell soya bean drinks and also grass jelly dessert which I have yet to try. Price wise is still the same as compared to a few years back. Thumbs up!! [Review from mobile]

Carrot cake Smile Nov 10, 2013

Brought a plate of the white version carrot cake from the mini wok stall at IMM kopitiam. The carrot cake is well cooked as generous amount of the egg mixture is added. The carrot cake is quite fragrance, well sliced and well-cooked as well. Some cai pok is also added to enhance the bland taste of the carrot cake. Lastly, the carrot cake is not oily and I think that the spring onion garnish can be added more. Apart from carrot cake, it also sells those common dishes that can be found in a cze char stall such as the fried rice, hor fun and many more. [Review from mobile]

Tom yum ban mian Smile Nov 10, 2013

normally tom yum is used to cooked the famous thai tom yum soup. However, tom yum can also be incorporated into Chinese cuisine such as the popular ban mian. I’m quite amazed with the
combination of tom yum soup with the ban mian and it really blend quite well. The tom yum soup is full of flavours, hot, spicy and sour, and is not too oily. Apart from the soup, the ban mian is pretty well cooked, not stick together. Other ingredients added are some small prawn and sliced vegetable. Overall, I think that the flavour of the soup can still be improved to give a more refreshing taste. [Review from mobile]

Pizza Smile Nov 10, 2013

When it comes to eating pizza, the first restaurant that comes to my mind will always be pizza hut. This is because their pizza dough is pretty well made and baked, soft and slightly spongy texture with a slight crust at the side of the pizza and thickness wise is not too thick. Although there are not many variety to choose from, my favourite pizza will always be the classic Hawaiian flavour. The Hawaiian
flavour is made with some simple ingredients such as the chicken ham and pineapple chunks topped with generous amount of cheese. Apart from the Hawaiian flavour, I have also ordered the ocean catch flavour. I find that the ocean catch is not very special and I generally prefer bbq chicken than the ocean catch flavour.
