lemon juice  Smile Apr 02, 2012
Categories : Hawker Centre | Juices

Bought a cup of lemon juice with main dishes for lunch.
This lemon juice was homemade and taste totally different from other lemon juice. It has a nice brown colour, has a sweet and fresh lemon taste. The sweetness is just right, not very sweet. This is a very nice and refreshing drink especially during a hot day. Other than this lemon juice, this stall also sells sugarcane drink.

kway chap  Smile Apr 02, 2012

Bought a one person serving of kway chap for lunch.
This kway chap includes pig intestine, pork belly, tao pok, braised egg and added pig skin. Firstly, the tao pok was well cooked, soft and juicy. As for the pig intestine, it was well prepared and cooked, no strong pig smell, soft and tender texture. The pork belly was well braised and marinated, sufficient seasoning and has a spongy texture. The braised egg was a bit overcooked as the outer layer of the egg yolk has already turn grey. The chili provided was well prepared, hot and spicy and mild sour taste, not watery and goes well with the side dishes. The kway is soft and smooth, well cooked. The gravy is also well seasoned, not too salty. Overall, a good kway chap stall offering kway chap at a reasonable price and is a must try. lol

Spending per head: Approximately $4(Lunch)

White Carrot Cake  Smile Apr 02, 2012

Categories : Food Court

Bought a white carrot cake for lunch.
Firstly, the carrot cake was well presented, topped with chopped spring onion. The carrot cake was evenly cut into acceptable size, soft and spongy texture. The carrot cake was cooked with chili and the level of spicyness was acceptable, not too spicy. It was well seasoned as well, not too salty and the egg mixture was spread evenly with the carrot cake. Chai pok was also included to add a slight crunchy texture and also to enhance the flavour of the carrot cake. Overall, a good carrot cake at a reasonable price and is worth the try.

Spending per head: Approximately $2.50(Lunch)

Bought a spicy beef burger set meal for lunch.
The spicy beef burger includes beef patty, pickles, chopped onion, thick layer of tomato topped with spicy sauce. The beef patty was well made and marinated, soft and tender texture. The spicy sauce goes well with the patty together with the burger and is not too spicy. As for the potato original croquette, it has a very crispy texture, soft potato fillings with some mixed vegetables. The fries was slightly thicker than normal fries, soft and slight crispy texture and is seasoned with salt.
