Brought a set of the yong tau foo set meal for lunch today at the nearby food court. This yong tau foo stall is quite different to the traditional stall whereby you can choose your own yong tau foo items. Instead of choosing your own food item, it already has its fixed item which consists of some simple yong tau foo item. The soup base is full of flavours, not oily and is topped with spring onion. This set meal also comes with a bowl of the kangkong with some gravy which I am not able to identify what it is. The kangkong is sufficiently cooked and goes quite well with the soup and the noodle. Lastly, the noodle used has a slightly thinner thickness and is topped with some chicken bits. Overall quite a tasty yong tau foo set which cost around $4.50. [Review from mobile] 

After a walk around the foodcourt, I have decided to buy the watercress soup with pork ribs for lunch. This bowl of watercress soup with pork ribs is full of flavours, very nutrious, healthy, not oily and goes very well with the rice. As for the watercress, it is not overcooked and generous amount is given. Red date and wolfberry is also added into the soup which help to increased the nutrious level. Lastly, the pork ribs is well cooked, soft and tender texture and juicy as it absored the flavours of the watercress soup. Ordered a plate of 3 different types of meat which consists of the roasted pork, duck and char siew. I’m quite amazed with the roasted pork due to crispy skin and the very nice golden brown colour. Not only that, the texture is also very soft and tender and is not very oily. Next the roasted duck is well cooked, the skin is quite fragrance and goes well with the plum sauce. As for the char siew, it is well marinated and cooked and has a soft and tender texture as well. Apart from this plate of meat, I have also ordered the carrot cake, several dim sum and also their famous char siew bun. I still remember that Lao Ban soya bean is a stall that I found that is very popular in selling tao huay few years back where long queue can be seen. Up till now, I am glad that after a few years Lao Ban soya bean has opened several outlets apart from their main branch at old airport road hawer centre. The quality of their almond flavoured tao huay still remains with the melt in the mouth sensation, a much soft and smooth texture compared to the traditional tao huay and a very aromatic almond flavour. Apart from selling tao huay, Lao ban soya bean has also started to sell soya bean drinks and also grass jelly dessert which I have yet to try. Brought a plate of the white version carrot cake from the mini wok stall at IMM kopitiam. The carrot cake is well cooked as generous amount of the egg mixture is added. The carrot cake is quite fragrance, well sliced and well-cooked as well. Some cai pok is also added to enhance the bland taste of the carrot cake. Lastly, the carrot cake is not oily and I think that the spring onion garnish can be added more. Apart from carrot cake, it also sells those common dishes that can be found in a cze char stall such as the fried rice, hor fun and many more. [Review from mobile]
