Tom yum ban mian Smile Nov 10, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Food Court | Seafood | Noodles

normally tom yum is used to cooked the famous thai tom yum soup. However, tom yum can also be incorporated into Chinese cuisine such as the popular ban mian. I’m quite amazed with the
combination of tom yum soup with the ban mian and it really blend quite well. The tom yum soup is full of flavours, hot, spicy and sour, and is not too oily. Apart from the soup, the ban mian is pretty well cooked, not stick together. Other ingredients added are some small prawn and sliced vegetable. Overall, I think that the flavour of the soup can still be improved to give a more refreshing taste. [Review from mobile]

Pizza Smile Nov 10, 2013

Categories : Pasta | Halal

When it comes to eating pizza, the first restaurant that comes to my mind will always be pizza hut. This is because their pizza dough is pretty well made and baked, soft and slightly spongy texture with a slight crust at the side of the pizza and thickness wise is not too thick. Although there are not many variety to choose from, my favourite pizza will always be the classic Hawaiian flavour. The Hawaiian
flavour is made with some simple ingredients such as the chicken ham and pineapple chunks topped with generous amount of cheese. Apart from the Hawaiian flavour, I have also ordered the ocean catch flavour. I find that the ocean catch is not very special and I generally prefer bbq chicken than the ocean catch flavour. Cane sugar and Tao huay Smile Nov 10, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre

brought a cup of the sugar cane juice and a bowl of the tau huay from this popular drink stall as people can be seen queuing during breakfast and lunch hours. Firstly, the sugar cane juice is made on the spot when customers order so that it is fresh. Taste wise is very refreshing, naturally sweet and is not too diluted. Next as for the tao huay, it has a soft and smooth texture, mild soya bean flavour and sufficient amount of the sugar syrup is added. Apart from sugar cane drink, this stall also sells one very popular drink which is the pineapple drink, soya bean, grass jelly drink and many more. [Review from mobile]

Yong tau foo Smile Nov 10, 2013

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre

Although the variety of the yong tau foo is not as many as other stall, I still decided to buy a bowl of yong tau foo from this stall as their yong tau foo items looks quite fresh. I have picked several vegetables, fish meat ball and some nhior hiam. All the items are sufficiently cooked and well cut into small piece for easier eating. As for the soup base, it is light and refreshing and is not too oily and goes well with the rice. Lastly, the sweet sauce is quite similar to other yong tau foo stall and their chili sauce is not that spicy. Price wise is quite reasonable for about $3.50 for 6 items. [Review from mobile]

Pancake Smile Nov 10, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre

brought a total of 3 different flavours of the pancake which consist of the peanut, red bean and coconut flavours. Firstly, the peanut filling has a nice peanut aroma with some sugar added and the peanut filling is quite loose. Next as for the red bean flavour, the red bean is well processed, soft and smooth texture and the sweetness level is acceptable, not too sweet. The coconut flavour is well cooked, has a bright orange colour and an aromatic coconut flavour. Lastly, the pancake itself is sufficiently cooked, texture wise is soft and spongy and thickness is acceptable, not too thick. Price wise is around 70cents per piece.  [Review from mobile]
