Brought a plate of the wanton noodle for lunch at this kopitiam.
This plate of wanton noodle has a acceptable presentation which can be improved. As for the taste wise, the noodle is well seasoned, not too salty, the spicy level is not too hot but the sauce is quite oily. The noodle is well cooked and has a soft and QQ texture. Next the char siew is well grilled and has a soft and tender texture. A bowl of soup containing 3 mini wanton is also inlcuded. The soup has a light peppery taste and not oily. As for the wanton, it has a soft and smooth skin with meat fillings in it. Price is quite reasonabe at $2.50 per plate.

Brought a box of their ang ku kueh which consists of the dou sar and the peanut fillings.
The kueh is pretty well made, the skin is not too thick and has a soft and chewy texture. As for the fillings wise, the peanut has a fine texture with sugar added in it. Sweetness wise is not too sweet and is acceptable. Other than ang ku kueh, this stall also sell a variety of other kueh such as the soon kueh and several dumplings as well. Price start from 80 cents for a piece of ang ku kueh and $3.30 for a box of 5.

Categories : Food Court | Chinese Soup

Brought a bowl of the you mian from this stall at kou foo.
I was quite impress by the speed that they prepared this bowl of you mian in about less than 5 minutes time. The soup base is well boiled and seasoned and has a light ikan bills fragrance. As for the noodle, it has a soft and QQ texture and would prefer it to be cook for a bit longer time. Ingredients such as the vegetable and the minced pork are well cooked, but given in a small portion. Overall, quite a normal you mian, taste wise is acceptable and it cost $3.30 per bowl.

Categories : Fusion | Bakery

With the recommendation from friends, I have decided to buy a box of the durian flavoured swiss roll from the shop.
The swiss roll is well baked and rolled, has a soft and spongy texture with a light vanilla taste in it. As for the fillings, it is spread with the durian flesh and the fresh cream. The durian is fragrance, taste not too sweet nor bitter and goes well with the fresh cream and the swiss roll as well. Overall, quite a tasty swiss roll with real durian flesh in it and other flavours such as the chocolate, green tea, strawberry and many more flavours are made available. Price start from $6.50 per roll for normal flavours and $7.50 for the durian flavour.

Categories : Singaporean

Brought a plate of the mixed vegetable rice from this killiney kopitiam which in actually located in a shophouse.
A total of two dishes is chosen which includes stir fried long beans with fishcake and the stir fried pork with ginger slice. For the long beans with fishcake, it is well cooked and seasoned, has a crunchy texture. As for the stir fried pork with ginger slice, the seasoning is not too salty, the meat is well cooked and has a soft and tender texture. Overall, quite a normal mixed vegetable rice BUT the price is not that reasonable which cost $4.80 for this plate of two dish mixed vegetable rice. sad
