Yam cake Smile Nov 10, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

When many people are queuing for a particular stall, it may seem that the food is quite delicious and popular. I have decided to try out the yam cake and the chee cheong fun from this particular stall where long queue can be seen during breakfast hours. Presentation wise is not too appealing. Firstly, their yam cake is well sliced and thickness wise is acceptable. The texture of the yam cake is much softer than other stall and this yam cake also has a nice yam aroma. Next the chee cheong fun is
sliced equally and is well steamed. As for the chee cheong fun gravy, the consistency is there and has a slight sweet taste. Lastly, the chili is not too spicy and also has a mild sweet taste. Overall, quite a tasty plate of yam cake and chee cheong fun from this stall. [Review from mobile]

Carrot cake OK Nov 10, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

I brought a plate of the black version carrot cake from this stall. From the picture taken, it can be seen that the carrot cake is sliced into equal size and not too small. Garnish wise I think more spring onion can be added. For the taste wise, it is not too salty nor too sweet, not too oily as well. The amount of dark soy sauce is sufficiently added. Overall, it is only an average black carrot cake. Apart from selling carrot cake, this stall also sells fried oyster and fried kway tiao. Lastly, the waiting time is not too long. Ban mian Smile Nov 10, 2013

Brought a bowl of you mian from the newly renovated noodle stall at the jurong point kopitiam outlet. Firstly, the soup base is quite well prepared, not too oily and taste quite refreshing. As for the noodle, it is sufficiently cooked with a soft and slight chewy texture. Next sufficient amount of the pork meat and vegetables is added and is sufficiently cooked as well. With the addition of the ikan bilis and the deep fried onion, it helps to enhance the overall taste of the soup. Price wise is quite
reasonable. [Review from mobile]

With lots of chocolate crumbs on top, it has made me to choose this bun which has a name called Chocolenu. I have never seen this type of bun in our local bakery shop as it is quite unique. Taste wise has a nice soft and fluffy texture with an aromatic chocolate taste. As for the crumbs, it is not too loose and is quite compact. Due to the availability of free tasting, I got a chance to taste this cream cheese bun which has soft and smooth cream cheese fillings in it. as for the bun texture, it also has a soft and fluffy texture. Overall, price wise is a bit steep as compared to local bakery shop but it is still worth a try as their product is quite tasty. [Review from mobile]

Pig organ soup Smile Nov 10, 2013

Categories : Food Court | Chinese Soup

What for lunch today? It’s gonna be the pig organ soup with yam rice. With the nice aroma of the soup, it is going to be a tasty meal for this lunch. The pig organ is well clean and cooked, does not have the raw smell and have a soft and tender texture. With the addition of the Chinese parsley, it helps enhance the flavour of the soup. The yam rice is also well cooked, nice and fragrance with small cubes of yam in it. Overall, quite a cooked pig organ soup for lunch and price is reasonable and will patronise this stall again for other food.  [Review from mobile]
