The tasting room Smile Jul 31, 2013

Bought a deal from Groupon to try The Tasting Room. The stars of the meal would be the main courses. Choose between the Confit of Duck Leg, and the Miso Glazed Norwegian Makerel. Round off your meal with dessert with a choice between Coconut Panna Cotta (which is a cheese cake).
$28 for 4-Course French Degustation Menu at The Tastings Room in Marina Square (Worth $56).
Overall the food is not bad but portion is smaller than usual.

Coconut Panna Cotta and Gateau au Fromage
The cheesecake, soft and light! smile

Confit of duck leg smile
Tender duck with absolutely nice sauce. However, the portion is unable to satisfy my stomach.

Miso Glazed Norwegian Mackerel.
The fish, i don't really it as i find it unfresh! sad But the marination was well done.

BEST CHEESE CAKE EVER Smile Jul 31, 2013

This Avocado cheesecake is around 7 plus per slice. It is the best cheese cake I ever eat. The base was made by chocolate biscuit that taste like kit kat. The cheese is light, hence, you will not feel disgusting after finishing up the whole slice of cake. I have been there 4 times but only the 1st visit I manage to try this cheese cake. Why? Only if someone ordered this cheesecake then the owner will do extra to sell. Depends on your luck. Another thing the ambiene is cosy and relaxed! smile

Lunch just ended and here is my food for the day! Mixed vegetable rice at kou fu in Cineleisure! smile Well, the food i ordered is stewed potatoes, chili chicken and fried sotong! Honestly, i find the portion of rice too little! The chili chicken was not spicy at all! But on the other hand, the potatoes were soft and well cooked whereas the fried sotong was crispy! smile The total price was $4.70 however, i guess this is one of the cheaper stall that you can find in town area.

I fall in love with this noodles within seconds! The noodles was marvelous, light aroma with soft springiness! The gravy which is sweet makes it a prefect combination for breakfast! smile I really enjoy eating it lot! smile Each plate costs $3.00. The portion is small so do requested for more noodles if you had a bigger appetite. The soup was so-so, but the wanton was juicy! smile

Oriole Café & Bar Smile Jul 29, 2013

Now its time for some high classiness food in singapore! Oriole Cafe & Bar was recommended by Ladyironchef, reading the blog review wasn't enough for me. I had to go down personally to rate them!

To start off, i was overwhelm by the ambience the moment i stepped into the restuarant. The soft lighting makes the environment really cozy, tables were not placed too closed to each other. Furnishing are great, all these with soothing music generates a really relaxing environment for the diners. Big thumbs up to them on this.

I ordered the strawberry cheesecake and mocha. The mouth-watering cheesecake is soft, smooth, sweet, so many ways to describe. The bottom crust added to the overall texture complementing the top.

The highlight for this review will go to the mocha. Oriole Café & Bar is renowned for their coffee, so i can't miss this. I'm definitely not good at appreciating coffee at professional standards, but this mocha is really good. The aroma it gives off makes me yearn to get one more cup, the sweetness hit right on the stop. No extra sugar has to be added. The coffee art is also worthy of an appraisal too.

Total cost was S$17.05. Expensive? No. Its totally worth the price.
