Tang yuan Cry Jul 22, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Desserts and Cakes

My first time trying this dessert stall, the usual price for this is 4 for $1.50 however, the boss offered me at 7 for $2 as they are closing their stall soon. So I took their offer! smile But regretted! sad The glutinous balls were all very hard to chew on and tasted very floury. The texture is too thick. Worst of all, it was served cold! The peanut inside was so little. All I could taste is the flour.

Chicken rice Cry Jul 22, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre | Chicken Rice

I had ordered a 2 person share chicken at $11 and I think it is pretty expensive for the portion they gave! :-( The chicken was also cold and they gave us chicken breast meat which is tough to bite! The rice was nice, hot and not very oily. The soup makes me very thirsty after drinking so I guess there was MSG in it and it is also very oily too! sad I will definitely not come back again for this!

Swensen's @ Centrepoint Cry Jul 22, 2013

Allocated at a side of the shopping mall, which is quite hard to find.
it was a last minute order before they were closed, thus the service attitude was bad. I ordered this Chicken baked rice at $15.90. The food was served hot, but not very organized. The edge of the plate was full of baked cheese and it looks very pale, which is not appealing to me. The taste of it does not appeal to me either, the chicken breast meat was hard and the rice was also dry. After a while, I got sick with the cheese and actually stopped eating it altogether sad

Overly sweet  Cry Jul 18, 2013

Categories : Taiwanese | Chinese Desserts | Bubble Tea/ Tea

I tried Blackball again, this time i choose to mix my own flavour: glass jelly base with nata de coco and yam. $5.50 each. It tastes a bit weird, the strong glass jelly taste didn't go well with yam or the nata de coco, in fact glass jelly overwhelmed the taste of yam and nata de coco. All I tasted was the grass jelly and more grass jelly of different textures!

They gave me a small cup of milk to add into my bowl. I kind of regret adding the milk, as it became too sweet and cloying. I can't stand the sweetness at all! In the end, I left the shop with more than half the bowl full. sad

Kaya Waffles Cry Jul 14, 2013
Categories : Bakery | Halal

This waffle is very disappointing. They actually pre-made the waffle beforehand and heat it when the customer want it. Thus, making the texture weird; crispy on the outside but the inside was very soggy! The kaya they spread on my waffles was too little, all i taste was the floury waffles with soggy texture. The store assistant looks very reluctant to serve the customers which upset me more! sad The waffle costs $1.30 for kaya fillings.
