Egg tarts Smile Dec 19, 2013

Categories : Café

I bought a discount voucher from groupon to try out the egg tarts from Yah Weh Delicacies. The store sell not only egg tarts , but kueh lapis and cookies . They serve different flavour of egg tarts ranging from durian , original , strawberry , chocolate .

The egg tarts are different from the one i try from polar cake or other cake shops. I ordered the original egg tart to try out. The egg tart had a thick layer of egg and layers of crust. I liked the egg custard whereby it was very smooth and soft and the crust is crunchy and crispy.

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

having been dining in this restaurant several times as to try their speciality choices of ramen

The restaurant atomsphere is nice and have cosy seats and decoration on the walls

I ordered Tonkotsu Itto’s Special Tonkotsu Ramen ($16.50) (by Chef Yukihiko Sakamoto) .The ramen looks very appetizing the portion was generous here, with big slices of tender Chashu and thin chewy noodles.

The ramen is chewy and soft , with the soup not too salty but taste soothing

the chashu is juicy and tender as it was thinly sliced

The gyoza was well fried , crispy and crunchy and not oily

Buffet town Smile Dec 19, 2013

My colleagues' suggestion is to go to Buffet Town located at Raffles City Shopping Centre to try out the buffet. The restaurant serve wide variety of choices for buffet such as oysters, scallops, sushi, crabs, mantou, cooked items, prawns and as well as desserts such as cakes etc.

We liked the seafood e.g prawns was big , fresh and juicy and oysters are fresh and big. The cooked section with crabs cooked with chilli gravy taste fresh and spicy with fried mantou to dip in the sauce. They serve different kinds of soups etc mushroom soup where you taste creamy and bits of mushroom in soup.

chong qing grilled fish Smile Dec 18, 2013

Categories : Sichuan

first time dining in Chong Qing Grilled Fish Restaurant as my friend bought me here to celebrate his birthday , as he recommend that the Grilled Fish here taste delicious

You can choose what kind of fish you want and the level of spicyness . We choose red snapper with the ma la base at medium spiciness.

The fish is grilled and the meat is very fresh and soft and absorb the spicyness of the broth and we also add side dishes e.g golden mushroom ,potatoes to cook along with the broth

The broth is spicy and oily where you to scoop up the layer of oil before eating .

But overall it was nice and delicious food
