Dinner ;D Smile Apr 30, 2013

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese Desserts | Desserts and Cakes

Had dinner with my mum at around 8pm.

Wanted to order the Gold-Dusted Chicken Cutlet Rice but it is out of stock.

So I ordered the Gold-Dusted Pork Cutlet Rice instead, while my mum ordered the Steamed pork belly rice with preserved vegetables.

Added on the current promotion where we just have to add $1.50 to get a side and a dessert.

Sides we got are carrot cake and yam cake, and desserts are almond paste and sesame paste.

The food came within 10 minutes and at a nice warm temperature.

They served the sides and desserts at the same time too.

For the Steamed pork belly rice with preserved vegetables, the sauce is too little and the rice is a little dry.
The meat and preserved vegetables is not a lot too.

It still tastes quite nice though.(:
The pork is not too fatty and the meat is tender and nice.

As for my Gold-Dusted Pork Cutlet Rice, the pork cutlet is quite a lot.

The noodles is not too dry but there is those taste of the ‘yellow’ noodles.

The seasoning of the pork is quite strong and it makes the dish tasteful ;D

As for the desserts, they are really delicious as it is thick and not watery.

The taste is strong and really nice;D

It is quite affordable to dine here lol

Black Pepper Flamer ;D Smile Apr 30, 2013

Categories : American | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

Tried the new black pepper flamer set with upsize at $6.95.

First time trying and like it a lot ;D

The black pepper meat is richly flavoured and it tastes a little like curry kind of black pepper.

The meat is soft, tender and really juicy.

Unlike the previous black pepper burger launched for a limited period, this time's black pepper is not too spicy and the taste is just right.

Although it is slightly salty, it still tastes pretty well as a whole.

The shaker fries this time is the Citrus Thai Shaker Fries.
Initially I thought it would taste somewhat like orange since it is citrus, but I really love it after trying it.

It tastes like the Thai Tom yum flavour. Not too spicy or sour.

The powder is not too salty either even when I put the whole packet of the powder with the fries.

Like it a lot ^^

The Lychee McFrizz is quite nice too.
The lychee taste isn't too strong but the drink is refreshing. It is quite similar to sprite Except that it has the lychee flavour.

Really like this new burger as a whole. Should try it!;D

Rip and Chicke'n Smile Apr 30, 2013
Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

Did not really try the chicken from Popeyes before and we decided to take on the cashier recommendation to get the rip and chicke'n promotion set.

It is actually something like a buddy meal. With 3 piece chicken which is quite big in size, fries, two drinks and a mash potato.

The set came with a special dipper that tastes a little like sour cream?

I'm not sure what the sauce is but it is really nice to have it with the fries and chicken ;D

It is quite salty though, but that helps to spice up the taste of the chicken and fries.

The chicken is simple and plain. It is crispy on the outer and the meat is white and tender.

The taste of the meat is not very strong, a little salty and fragrant.

It goes pretty well with the sauce ;D

Even for the chicken breast meat, it is quite soft and tender too.

As for the fries, really like it a lot as the flavour is rich and tasty ;D

It has the taste of potato and also a nice fragrant taste that penetrates deep within the fries.

Love it a lot ^^

The mash potato is nice too ;D

The gravy isn't simply just gravy but accompanied with other herbs/vegetable ingredients.

It gives a more unique and peppery taste.

The portion is really quite a lot for two girls. We got really full and there are still some leftovers, really worth it for the price of $12.80 a set.

Fried Kway Teow OK Apr 30, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

Ordered a plate of fried kway teow at $3.

The portion was quite a lot. It is affordable and tastes quite nice ;D

With two customers ahead of me, the whole waiting time was around 5minutes.

The service was average and acceptable.

It is placed on the special leaf that make it more fragrant and delicious.

It is not overly cooked and I could taste a bit of the 'fried wok' taste.

The sweet sauce used is just right and is not too sweet or salty.

The amount of ingredients is okay too..and I like the taste of the chewy Taiwan sausage ;D

The plate of fried kway teow is not too dry or oily and the fragrant taste is quite strong.

The kway teow does not stick together and is not too soft.

There are still areas for improvements on the taste though.

Considering the price and place, it is pretty worth it for this plate of fried kway teow.

Fishball Noodles Smile Apr 30, 2013
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

First time trying this noodles store and I ordered the fishball noodles, dried without chilli.

It costs $2.80 and the portion is quite a lot.

It uses mee pok instead of the normal yellow noodles when ordering fishball noodles elsewhere.

It is not too dry and the sauce is a lot.

The noodles are a little sticky though, but it is nice as it is.

The sauce made for the noodles is nice, not too salty and the taste is strong enough ;D

The ingredients is quite a lot too, total of 4 fishballs and quite a generous portion of fish cakes.

It is quite worth it and the noodles are delicious and filling.

The auntie is friendly too lol
